One of ELK's goals is to send everyone home every day safe to their families.

2020 to mid-year 2025 ELK has worked just under One Million manhours on difficult construction jobs and we have had only two injuries and no one lost any work due to injuries.

The work is at various locations in Austin Energy's service territory.

LOSS OF A TEAMMATE - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kevin Charboneau. He was a cherished member of our team, bringing dedication, great effort, and leadership, every day.

Kevin made a lasting impact on our workplace, contributing with passion and professionalism that will always be remembered. If we had a critical high profile project, Kevin was one we could count on and trust.

2025 was his 30th year work anniversary with ELK.

Kevin was taken from us unexpectedly. Please take care of yourselves and one another. We are here for support and to ensure that Kevin's positive influence continues to shine through in all we do.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and all who were fortunate to know him.

ELK ELECTRIC is Sponsoring Travis Early College High School, providing support to Elaine Diaz and her students to learn about the electrical trade, resources available, further training, and careers. April 3rd we did a tour of the AETA Training Facility and with the help of Freddy Alanis, AETA, and Big Joe Hernandez, LU520, Carlos Ortega, ELK, Brian Nitti, ELK, we discussed the good, bad, ugly, of the trade and opportunities. Provided lunch and had a contest for wiring up switches and a light. It was great meeting the young men and half of them will be working this Summer with ELK or another Union Electrical Contractor via our Summer Help program.
