Driftwood is a ground-up home built with one reference point: Napa, not traditional Texan. The bar is where that material point of view comes through at close range. White oak shelving. Striated stone. Veined marble. A slim window framing the green beyond. Nothing fighting for attention, everything earning its place.

Warm leather, weathered linen, and tulips in brass... this is edited living at its best.

A precision turntable, a Miles Davis sleeve, a candle burning low, and an abstract canvas crackling with raw energy above it all.

Objects chosen not for their appearance alone, but for what they add to the atmosphere when everything comes together.

"With that much view, the landscape is on equal footing with the art." Our Hill Country project is now featured in Austin Home Magazine. This Napa-inspired retreat was designed around one principle: keep the palette restrained and let real materials do quiet work. White oak, charred cedar, Lueders limestone, woven leather. From the vine-wrapped steel fins on the terrace to the floor-to-ceiling glass framing the landscape, every detail defers to what's just beyond.

The question behind every search for an interior designer is really the same one. Can I trust this firm with my home?

We think five things tell you most of what you need to know. The projects a firm has published. The clients who come back. The reviews. Whether the firm can explain its process clearly. And whether the money is out in the open.

We wrote about all five. Link in bio.

It always begins on paper. The wire-mesh cabinets, the candlelit mantel, the warm copper bar beneath backlit shelves. Watching those drawings become real, finished spaces is one of the most fulfilling parts of what we do.

This family saw what most people miss, a 1934 home doesn't need to be erased to feel new. Our work for them was knowing what to keep. We deliberately choose only what would operate in tandem with the original character.

A thread of blue through every frame. Frosted glass lighting custom bookshelves from behind. A blown-glass table base in teal, glassware paintings in cool blue, colored panels set into dark steel shelving. We love when one color becomes a through line.

We think the measure of a home is how it treats the people who visit it. In this home remodel, the bar passage welcomes you with reclaimed floors and a glimpse of hewn beams beyond. The guest bath wraps you in veined stone from floor to ceiling, with a sculptural bronze pendant and a skylight overhead. And the guest bedroom keeps things quiet on purpose: soft linen, a carved figure on a stack of books, trees framing the window. The kind of stay you remember long after you leave.
