Our twelve person firm, located in Austin, Texas provides architectural services to a variety of clients with an emphasis on specialized retail and office projects. Central to our work is meeting th

e specific programmatic needs of the client and creating places that enhance the architectural experience of the users. Brand identity, customer experience, company culture, and operational efficiency are the cornerstones of our approach to projects. The firm is led by Craig Grund, AIA, who has over 30 years of experience with a wide range of project types that includes retail, hospitality, food service, office, academic, and residential projects. Collaborating with him is a staff of experienced registered architects, interior designers, architectural interns and support personnel. From early programming and concept meetings, throughout the design and documentation phases, and continuing into the construction process, our active involvement ensures that the completed work is true to the established design intent and successfully fulfills the owners’ needs and aspirations.

To the women who shape how we experience the world—through care, strength, and intention.

Today, we celebrate mothers and the lasting impact they have on the spaces we call home and the lives we build within them.

Happy Mother’s Day.

✨ The best third spaces aren’t just functional - they feel good to be in.

Thoughtful lighting, communal seating, warm materials, and intentional flow work together to create environments that invite connection, conversation, relaxation, and everyday moments of pause.

Because great design doesn’t just shape spaces - it shapes how people experience them.

Great design doesn’t happen in one phase - it evolves.

At Cheshire, our approach began with deep brand immersion and local context, translating insight into a cohesive environmental branding system that carries through every touchpoint - from signage to spatial flow.

Because the success of a space isn’t just in how it looks - it’s how it works, over time.

What grounds our work?

Our design approach begins with understanding the people each project is meant to support. The most thoughtful, functional environments come from listening, collaboration, and a deep understanding of user needs.
By engaging clients and stakeholders throughout the process, we create spaces that reflect real experiences, cultural context, and everyday use - resulting in environments that foster connection, express a strong sense of place, and support long-term community success.

We’re excited to celebrate the opening of the new in Holbrook, New York - expanding the brand’s presence across Long Island and bringing a vibrant grocery destination to the Suffolk County community.

STUDIOGEE supported the project from Pre-Design through Construction Administration, guiding the architectural process across Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documents. Through thoughtful spatial planning and coordinated architectural development, the design prioritizes clear navigation, strong departmental adjacencies, and a welcoming environment that supports both operational efficiency and an elevated customer experience.

Congratulations to the entire project team and partners who helped bring this store to life:

🌿 What is LEED certification - and why does it matter?

LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) is a globally recognized standard for sustainable building design, construction, and operation. Projects that pursue LEED certification meet benchmarks related to energy efficiency, water conservation, indoor environmental quality, responsible material selection, and overall environmental impact.

For clients, this means more than sustainability alone. LEED-certified buildings can help reduce operating costs, support occupant health and well-being, and enhance a project’s long-term value.

At STUDIOGEE, sustainability is an important part of our design approach. Having LEED-accredited professionals on our team ensures we can support projects with sustainability goals - whether that involves formal certification, meeting regulatory requirements, or incorporating responsible design strategies from the start.

Our Team Spotlight series highlights the people behind the work and the expertise they bring to our projects. This week’s spotlight features Jorge Burnes, whose work contributes to STUDIOGEE’s commitment to thoughtful, sustainable design.

We’re seeing red ❤️

From bold department identifiers to high-impact focal points, red isn’t just a color - it’s a strategy. It anchors key moments, draws the eye, guides the flow, and creates energy where it matters most.

In high-performing environments, every visual cue shapes the customer journey. Color defines hierarchy, reinforces brand identity, and transforms everyday spaces into destinations.

Everything we design is intentional - and everything we do, we do with love.

Happy Valentine’s Day from STUDIOGEE.
