Energy efficiency isn't the only important aspect of sustainable housing. Building materials that are healthy for us and the environment is critical. Business-as-usual construction involves materials that off-gas invisible toxins (like VOCs from paints) into the air we breathe all day, raising our risk of cancer and other health problems. Save the queens! Biodiversity is worth preserving. We're committed to doing things in a good way. That's why our ecologist suited up to dig into this Harvester Ant colony. Our goal is to rehome them to a location where these declining native ants can be welcomed for their value as the primary food source of the iconic and vanishing h***y toad lizard.

This one is for you E.O. Wilson, the ant scientist who first articulated biophilia (human's innate connection to Nature and other life forms)!
