Garage attic build-out in Lost Creek! 🏠

We started by installing air baffles to maintain proper ventilation and airflow throughout the attic. From there, we installed fiberglass batt insulation in the ceiling, walls, and attic floor.

We also upgraded the remaining garage attic with blown-in fiberglass for added coverage and efficiency.

Everything was securely strapped in place and ready for drywall!

STOP putting new insulation over old, contaminated insulation.

It may save money now—but cost you later by hiding air leaks, moisture, pests, rodent debris, and damaged materials.

When removal is needed, clean and inspect the attic first. Address the problems, air seal properly, then install new insulation on a clean foundation.

Don’t cover up the problem. Fix it first.

Attic transformation completed! 🔨🏠

We wrapped up this attic project today, giving this home a major upgrade in comfort and energy efficiency with the added bonus of significantly improving our clients indoor air quality.

We focused on air sealing key areas of air infiltration and making sure the insulation was installed consistently throughout the space for maximum performance.

A properly insulated and air-sealed attic can help reduce heat transfer, improve HVAC efficiency, and keep indoor temperatures more comfortable year-round — especially here in Texas. ☀️🥵

Attic Insulation Prep — Project Update

We’ve been hard at work preparing this attic for a complete insulation upgrade. After the homeowner completed the necessary pest exclusion, our team removed all f***s and contaminated insulation, thoroughly disinfected the affected surfaces, and took the necessary steps to help ensure a clean and safe indoor environment.

We also:

* Air-sealed all accessible air infiltration points
* Installed insulation retention dams around storage and service platforms
*Installed soffit air baffles to maintain proper ventilation
* Properly prepared the attic for the new insulation installation

Tomorrow, we’ll be installing R-49 InsulSafe AP blown fiberglass insulation throughout the attic.

For this particular home, spray foam was not the ideal solution. The attic contains 80/20 atmospheric-combustion gas appliances, including the furnace and water heaters, which require the attic to remain properly ventilated.

Every home has different requirements, and choosing the right insulation system means considering the entire building—not just the R-value.

• Dense-packed the existing walls with fiberglass insulation
• Encapsulated the garage attic with spray foam, creating a great space for climate-controlled storage
• Insulated the garage door with foam board and a radiant barrier to help reduce heat gain
