Project Progress | Kathy Manning Athletic Center at Town & Country

A new perspective on the progress taking shape at the Kathy Manning Athletic Center.

The future athletic facility at continues to come together, with significant progress visible across the entire site.

Following our recent major concrete placement, it's exciting to step back and see how the individual milestones are coming together across the entire site.

Projects like this are built one phase at a time through careful planning, coordination, and the work of many skilled teams.

There's still plenty of work ahead, and we're looking forward to watching this one continue to take shape.

Project Milestone | Kathy Manning Athletic Center at Town & Country

🌅 3:00 AM. While most of Austin was still asleep, our team was already on site preparing for one of the most significant milestones on the Kathy Manning Athletic Center (KMAC) project.

This major concrete placement included over 40,000 square feet of concrete and required extensive planning, coordination, and teamwork to execute safely and successfully.

Executing a placement of this size required:

- Two concrete pump trucks, including a 100-foot boom pump

- Laser screed technology to ensure precise placement and exceptional floor flatness

- Continuous coordination between our field team, concrete supplier, pump operators, finishers, and inspectors

🏀 Named in honor of Kathy Manning, who founded Town & Country's basketball and volleyball programs, the new athletic center will feature four multi-purpose courts designed for basketball, volleyball, and futsal, along with gathering spaces, concessions, meeting rooms, locker rooms, and support areas. The facility represents a significant investment in youth athletics and will serve as a place where athletes, families, and the community can gather for years to come.

Large concrete placements aren't just about the volume of concrete—they're about planning, precision, and the people who make them happen. From the crews who mobilized before sunrise to the trade partners who worked seamlessly throughout the day, this milestone is a testament to what can be accomplished through teamwork, communication, and careful ex*****on.

Despite the weather trying to slow things down, the 2026 Rodeo Austin BBQ Cook-Off turned out to be an incredible event—and we’re proud to have been part of it.

Our team, Meat the Flintstones (powered by Flintrock Commercial, UCS Austin, and the TNC Foundation), had an unforgettable weekend supporting Texas youth scholarships.

Out of more than 260 teams, we:
- Ranked 11th in fundraising — placing us in the top ~4% of all teams
- Served 6,000–7,000 people during public tastings—completely free

Events like this are what community is all about. The BBQ Austin Cook-Off continues to generate hundreds of thousands of dollars annually in support of scholarships and opportunities for the next generation.

Grateful for everyone who stopped by, supported, and helped make an impact. And a special shout-out to all of our sponsors who helped make this possible!
