Please be mindful of the use of extension cords, especially during the holiday season because it is so common. Usage should be limited due to the cord being potentially damaged by a number of different things. If an extension cord gets damaged while in use, it may result in electric shock or fire. If you need an extra outlet installed feel free to give me a call for a free quote!

If the home you live in still has fuses, double check to see how many 30 amp fuses are installed. If any of these 30 amp fuses supply power to lights and receptacles this is incorrect and unsafe. Lighting and receptacle circuits should only have 15 or 20 amp fuses, and if larger fuses are installed the circuit can be overloaded to more than what it is capable of and that can result in an electrical fire. It is especially important to be thinking about this in the colder months because of the use of space heaters. I see this happening way to often and I warn people as much as I can. If you have any questions regarding this matter I will be more than happy to answer them!
