But the truth is, a lot of what we do happens behind the scenes.

Sometimes it's a major remodel. Sometimes it's helping a homeowner recover after a water leak. Sometimes it's replacing a sink, fixing a pipe, or taking care of a repair that's been driving someone crazy for months.

We don't believe in only showing up for the big jobs. We believe in building long-term relationships, and that means being there for our clients no matter the size of the project.

A lot of people don’t really know how insurance restoration payments work until they go through it themselves.

Usually, the restoration company gets paid directly by insurance first. Then, for the rebuild side, the insurance sends payments to the homeowner in phases as the work moves forward. Once the job is complete, the final funds get released.

Insurance work isn’t some huge payday like people think. It’s steady work that keeps our crews busy, keeps our standards high, and helps homeowners get their lives put back together after a loss.

One thing people don’t realize about this industry is how important communication is on a jobsite. A lot of our subcontractors and customers speak Spanish, and having someone bilingual on the team makes a huge difference.

Love helps bridge that gap every single day. She translates, helps everyone stay on the same page, and honestly makes the whole process smoother for everybody involved.

Good work gets done faster when people actually understand each other. 🤝

A lot of people think a general contractor just “hires people and manages the job.” It’s way more than that.

The job is knowing enough about every trade to make sure the work is being done correctly, safely, and up to code. Electrical, plumbing, framing, drywall... all of it. Because if something goes wrong later, the responsibility falls back on the GC.

That’s why licensed contractors matter. It’s not just coordination. It’s accountability.

A lot of people think insurance restoration is just demo and rebuilding, but a huge part of the job is advocating for the homeowner.

These kitchen cabinets were too damaged to salvage, so we’re replacing everything. Since there weren’t leftleftover materials to reference, I even went on Zillow to see the home’s original condition so we could properly match the quality the insured had before the loss.

Most people don’t realize how much goes into an insurance claim. Part of my job is being the buffer between the insurance company and the homeowner, making sure the process makes sense and making sure the insured gets what they’re actually owed.

One thing experience teaches you in this industry is knowing when something makes sense to repair… and when it absolutely doesn’t. 😂

Walked this job site today and immediately knew we’d have to submit a supplement for a new vanity. The drawers are broken, the fixture’s damaged, and even though technically it could be repaired, it would cost way more than replacing it altogether.

That’s the part people don’t always see behind restoration work. Sometimes advocating for the homeowner means knowing when the smarter solution is the better one.

Everybody needs a Love in their life. 😂

This is Alexandra, but everyone calls her Love, and honestly, she keeps everything running. From helping at the office to bringing materials to job sites, handling errands, keeping the house together, taking care of the baby, and even making sure the truck stays spotless… she does it all.

The behind-the-scenes people don’t always get enough credit, but if you know, you know. Some people just make life run smoother without ever asking for recognition.

One thing I always try to push in my videos is education. Every homeowner and renter should know where their water shut-off valve is. Water is a force of nature.

Once it starts leaking, you’re not stopping it unless you stop the source. Doesn’t matter if it’s up to code if nobody knows where to find it.

We’ve passed inspections and are moving into finishes. Doors are getting painted and everything’s being carefully protected. Millwork just arrived and is about to go in across the study, closets, and bathrooms.

Fresh concrete... about 2 days old, so it’s good to walk on, just not ready for heavy work yet. We’re letting it cure before bringing in scaffolding for the next phase. Built out this fire pit pad with proper drainage and added radiant heat throughout the patio. No shoveling needed, everything melts and drains out.
