Construction is really coming along at this new-build Adirondack Custom Home. Hats off to for all their hard work!🏡

We joined Architectural Project Designer Hannah Wambach, for a look at the concept behind this Elevated Alpine home, inspired by modern western lodges and mountain chalets.

During the Schematic Design and Design Development phases, we work closely with homeowners to discuss inspiration, layout, functionality, flow, and all the little details that help support their lifestyle.

There’s a lot happening in downtown Albany as efforts continue to revitalize the Liberty Park area, and we’re glad to be part of that work in collaboration with Capitalize Albany.

Associate Principal Pete Veale, AIA, and intern Paige Doherty recently visited the site to see progress firsthand.

Our team is working on the stabilization of E-Comm Square, helping address the immediate needs of the existing building while keeping an eye toward what could come next. The goal is to stabilize the structure and preserve the possibility of future adaptive reuse.

We’re excited to see where this work leads and to be part of the continued investment in downtown Albany.

We joined the Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce last week for a discussion with academic leaders from six colleges and universities across the Capital Region. 🏫

The conversation focused on how higher education is adapting to meet the evolving needs of students, employers, and the economy, and how future collaboration between industry and higher ed can help support those goals.

It was very informative for our team, and we appreciate the opportunity to hear different perspectives on the future of education!

The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Akwesasne Boys and Girls Club provides youth programs, mentoring, tutoring, and meals for ages 6–20. Planning for the next camping season starts now!🏕️

Principals Jared Heinl P.E.,R.L.A., and Mike Goard AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, attended the Campground Owners of New York (CONY) conference this week to connect with owners from across New York State to discuss planning, improvements, and opportunities for the upcoming camping season.

Today's campers are increasingly seeking upgraded amenities, unique outdoor experiences, and modern conveniences, making planning and thoughtful design more important than ever.

Beardsley recently co-hosted a tour with Erie Materials Inc., inArchitects, and MCK Builders to share the progress on Syracuse's first mass timber building utilizing Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT).

The team shared insights into the design process, answered questions about CLT construction, and discussed the advantages this innovative building material brings to projects like this one. In just three months since our last site visit, the transformation has been remarkable, and the building is truly beginning to take shape.

Did you know? CLT panels are manufactured from layers of lumber bonded together at alternating angles, creating a strong, efficient structural system while supporting more sustainable construction practices.

Kudos to MCK Builders and the entire project team for their outstanding work!👏

We are so proud to be a part of Seymour Library's latest interior renovations and to join in celebrating an incredible milestone: the library’s 150th anniversary! Here are some highlights from last week's ribbon cutting and anniversary celebration.

Over the years, Beardsley has partnered with Seymour Library on numerous improvement projects, including the replacement of the roof and skylight in 2023, enhancements to the West Lobby,
a Landscaping Master Plan, and the most recent historic interior renovations throughout the building. These updates included abatement and fire protection design services, the conversion of an existing staff office and closet into new study rooms, upgraded skylight and bookshelf lighting, new interior skylights, acoustic panels and subflooring to reduce noise, as well as refreshed flooring, paint, finishes, and furnishings.

On the second floor, improvements include the addition of windows on the east wall, a reconfigured layout to create a new meeting room, updated flooring and finishes, new furnishings, a stairway railing, and a new ramp.

Congratulations to Seymour Library on a successful project and a wonderful 150 years of serving the community!

Thank you to Madison County for hosting us last week for the APWA Tour of Delphi Falls County Park!

We were honored to join our project partners in touring the facility and recognize the collaboration that earned this project 2025 NYS and CNY APWA Awards, and an AIA CNY Design Award. It was wonderful to see everyone again and celebrate the facility's success!🎉
