We recently finished up a repipe project on an older home right here in town, and when we cut open the main lines, we found these old galvanized steel pipes. As you can see in the photo, decades of mineral buildup left them with pretty heavy corrosion on the inside—which is usually why older homes end up with low water pressure, discolored water, or sudden leaks.
