If you were hit by hail during this weekend’s storms or have been in the past or could be in the future, these tips are for you!
For starters, don’t panic! The good news about hail is that in 99% of cases it will not cause your roof to leak or give you any trouble for a long time. We’re talking years.
The reason we stress calling your trusted LOCAL roofer FIRST, is simply to avoid filing a claim when you don’t have significant damage. For most insurance companies, once you file that claim there is no going back. No one needs any wasted claims on their file!
Finally, we always feel the need to warn our local communities of out of town storm chasers. We are NOT saying that all of these out of town contractors are bad, but we will give you a couple of questions to think about when considering who you want to go through this process with.
1. Does the contractor I hire care about their reputation in Auburn/Opelika/Columbus/Phenix City/(insert your city here) ?
2. Do I feel confident that this roofer will come back if I have a leak when the next storm hits this area?
