🚧Project Update | Proud to be on the ground at Plains Junior High School in Auburn

JLD Enterprises LLC is performing heavy civil and sitework for Auburn City Schools’ new Plains Junior High, on about 41 acres along the east side of Will Buechner Parkway. The campus is planned as a roughly 184,000-square-foot school, with the overall project targeted for fall 2028.

Our scope is the early-release site package that gets the campus ready for the building team: clearing and grubbing, mass grading, asphalt paving, curb and gutter, site utilities, storm drainage, and erosion control and stabilization. The building package is being delivered by Stone Building, with design by Perkins&Will.

Every cut, pipe run, and paved section is groundwork for classrooms, hallways, and ball fields that Auburn families will use for years. Local crews. Local schools. Work that lasts.

JLD Enterprises LLC is replacing the old culvert at East University Drive and Summertrees Drive for the City of Auburn. The new concrete box culvert will keep stormwater flowing and the road safe for years.

East University Drive stays open during construction, with traffic in temporary lanes. Drivers should expect lane shifts and allow extra time near Summertrees Drive.

Thank you to the City of Auburn for the partnership, and to neighbors for your patience.

Proud moment on the Plains.

JLD Enterprises LLC congratulates Auburn University on the topping out of the Barbara Drummond Thorne Academic & Research Facility.

This $100 million project will give the College of Human Sciences a purpose-built home—classrooms, laboratories, studios, and research space designed for the next generation of Auburn students. Rising on the former Spidle Hall site, it represents years of planning, philanthropy from the Thorne family, and the work of dozens of local and regional partners.

Our team is honored to contribute the heavy civil and sitework that helps projects like this take shape. Days like today remind us why we do what we do: building the infrastructure that supports education, research, and community in Auburn and East Alabama.

Congratulations to Auburn Facilities, Stone Building Company, Perkins&Will, and every craftsperson on site.

War Eagle.

🇺🇸JLD ENTERPRISES LLC | SEPTEMBER 11🇺🇸

Twenty-five years later, we still remember.

On September 11, 2001, nearly 3,000 lives were taken in New York, at the Pentagon, and in a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. First responders ran toward the danger. Ordinary people became heroes. A nation was changed.

Today we pause to honor those who were lost, those who still carry the scars, and every firefighter, police officer, EMT, service member, and construction worker who showed up when it mattered most.

We will never forget.🇺🇸
