This kitchen is one we’ll be thinking about for a long time. 🤎

Rather than starting over, our client wanted their home remodel to feel like it had always belonged here. For their kitchen, our designer Genessa, expanded the existing footprint, bringing in more light, better flow, and thoughtful storage while preserving the warmth and personality that made this mid-century modern home so special.

Alder stained cabinetry, handcrafted green tile, quartz countertops, and terrazzo-inspired flooring create a palette that feels timeless and unique instead of trendy.

Who doesn’t love a good before & after? ✨

Swipe to see this 1966 mid-century modern home transformed from dark and dated into a warm, light-filled retreat.

Rather than erase the home’s character, we leaned into it. Original details like the slatted pocket doors inspired custom millwork throughout the home, while rich alder cabinetry, playful tile, and thoughtful material selections brought a fresh perspective to the home’s mid-century roots.

This full first-floor remodel included a completely reimagined kitchen, living room, dining area, guest bathroom, and primary suite. Every space was designed to feel connected, creating a home that’s brighter, more functional, and full of personality without losing what made it special in the first place.

The result is a timeless remodel that honors the original architecture while making everyday living feel entirely new. 🤍🌲

This Auburn kitchen remodel was designed around timeless materials, thoughtful functionality, and the little details that make a home feel cohesive.

Leathered Taj Mahal quartzite anchors the kitchen, wrapping the countertops, island, and range wall with soft movement and warmth. To create continuity between the kitchen and living room, we carried the same quartzite onto the fireplace surround, tying the spaces together in a way that feels intentional and effortless.

Other details we love: a custom metal range hood with brass detailing, rift white oak cabinetry, integrated appliance storage, a panel-ready ice maker, a microwave lift cabinet, and a custom fireplace mantel designed to complement the kitchen finishes.

Another kitchen before and after with a living room bonus ✨

Swipe to see how this Auburn kitchen and living room renovation was thoughtfully reimagined for better flow, functionality, and elevated design.

While the overall footprint of the kitchen remained similar, strategic layout changes made a major impact on how the space functions day to day. Relocating appliances like the refrigerator helped improve circulation and workflow, creating a kitchen that feels more open, connected, and efficient without requiring a full structural overhaul.

Leathered Taj Mahal quartzite wraps the countertops and range wall in soft movement and understated luxury, while a custom metal hood with brass detailing creates a striking focal point. This kitchen was designed with both performance and livability in mind, featuring a reworked island with a prep sink and Brizo Rook faucet, integrated appliance storage, a 48” Wolf range, Sub-Zero refrigerator, and custom detailing throughout. We also carried the design into the living room with a custom white oak fireplace mantel and built-in cabinetry for display and storage.

This design build remodel balances elevated finishes with functionality that truly works for daily life 🤍🌲

Warm, earthy tones layered with a leathered Taj Mahal countertop that softens the light throughout the space. We focused on refining the details to feel cohesive and easy to live in, including the pot filler, which comes in handy for slower weekends and big meals like the ones you have on Mother’s Day 😊💐
