A fixture may appear as one item on a drawing, but installing it can involve several parts of the project.

Power, plumbing, dimensions, mounting, clearances, controls, and surrounding finishes all need to work with the plans and actual field conditions.

That's why our team reviews those relationships before installation begins.

Careful helps RPC keep projects from facing unnecessary changes to walls, ceilings, millwork, utilities, or nearby equipment after they're already installed.

Save this post for your next project, or share it with someone who's reviewing fixtures and equipment right now.

You don't begin a historic renovation by covering up the past.

You begin by understanding the building, protecting original features, stabilizing vulnerable areas, and carefully addressing existing conditions before future construction begins.

Here at RPC, that's the work our team is carrying out at CH Huot/Standard Marine today.

This phase creates a responsible starting point for the future while keeping the building's existing character at the center of the process.

Like and follow RPC to keep up with the work at CH Huot/Standard Marine as the project moves forward.

A busy mixed-use development can look like the perfect restaurant location.

More people, steady foot traffic, and a built-in customer base are all great advantages, but there's another side to the conversation.

Before construction begins, it's worth looking at the details behind the address.

Delivery access, shared parking, ventilation routes, utility capacity, landlord approvals, and construction schedules can all shape how smoothly the project moves.

At RPC, those are the conversations that help owners plan with confidence instead of assumptions, especially on and projects.

That little sample in your hand can feel like an easy decision.

Seeing thousands of square feet of the same material is usually a very different experience.

Looking at larger mockups, checking different lighting conditions, and comparing surrounding finishes can save a lot of second thoughts later.

Those details make a real difference on projects.

😅 What's the hardest material to judge from a small sample?

The ceiling usually looks like the easiest part of the project... right up until everyone needs the exact same location.

Lighting, HVAC, sprinklers, speakers, cameras, signage, and access panels all have to work together without turning the finished space into a cluttered mess.

Good coordination is what keeps looking clean long after construction is finished.

😄 What's the first thing you'd move if you had complete control of the ceiling?
