Converting a weedy bed into a clean gravel patio space.
This job involved removing vegetation, stumps, excess dirt, and pruning the trees. The area was then prepped and graded so that the gravel bed was approx 3" below grade. A 2.5" PVC sleeve for the cable wire was buried under the landscape fabric and edging so that a new line can be run at anytime without digging the gravel up.
Landscape fabric was placed and pinned down, aluminum edging was laid, and finally the gravel filled in the prepared space. Now the area just needs a few chairs and maybe a table.

These folks have a young child and want to have a safe, clean space to enjoy while spending time outside in the yard.

Been a while since I've posted.. but I'm kinda proud of this one.
The field at was full of sandspurs and fire ants. With the help of some amazing vendors including Maccurach Golf Construction, Gator irrigation, and AgrowPro we put together a renovation effort to start over and 'sprig' the field with grass.
This photo wad taken 2.5 months after sprigging and I think was the 5th or 6th mowing. I've mowed this field so many times when it was just dusty and sandspurs, so it was nice to mow a shire-like stretch of green turf!

It's sod web worm season. Here's a photo of a yard in my neighborhood that has sod web worm.. notice the areas that appear distressed.. from a distance it looks yellowish and up close the grass has a skeletonized appearance. Sod web worms eat the grass blades like a caterpillar before they morph into moths. Treatment can stop the web worm but action should be taken before too much damage is done to the grass, otherwise the grass is vulnerable to damage from other pests and the extreme temperatures of the summer.

Protect what plants you can! Cold sensitive plants that can't come inside can be covered with sheets to help keep them from getting frost bitten
