Here is another door project we recently completed for one of our commercial clients. We installed glass kits on two doors to match some other doors in the office space.

The only challenge was matching the finish on the Maple trim bead to the African mahogany veneer on the door.

A recent project we completed for a friend and client of ours. Her previous slider lived a long and happy life, until the last few years when it started the decline.

Sometimes as a contractor, you have to be OK with not loving the finished product, that is the case with this recent project for one of our clients.

This was a soundproofing panel install on one wall in their recording/photography studio. Our client supplied the materials, which were nothing more than 1/4ā€sq strips of laminated MDF that were stapled ļæ¼to sheets of 1/4ā€ felt. These panels are 12ā€œ x 9ā€˜ long and overlap each other in a tongue and groove fashion. The spacing was nothing short of an OCD nightmare and staring at it for more than 10 seconds is enough to make anyone dizzy.
ļæ¼
We got it done in a day and our client is happy, so weā€™ll chalk it up as a success. ļæ¼

The last and final stepā€¦.staining the beams.

Pressure treated pine needs to have a moisture content of 15% or less before a stain or paint can be applied. Painting or staining wood with moisture levels above 15% will lead to trapped moisture, which causes paint failure, bubbling/peeling paint and mold/mildew growth.

Make sure your contractor/painter is checking the moisture levels prior to coating, especially with pressure treated wood!
