Extraordinary mass used to create extraordinary lightness.

This elevated infinity pool is supported by a reinforced concrete cantilever projecting well beyond the building. During construction, its weight and thickness are unmistakable. Once completed, the water transforms the experience. The edge disappears, reflections replace structure, and the pool becomes an extension of the horizon.

While the engineering remains present, the architecture is ultimately about what vanishes.

The sun understood the assignment.

A beam of light slices across a board-formed concrete fireplace that serves both the living room and the outdoor terrace beyond, while a fully glazed wall brings the exterior environment inward, making it difficult to tell where the house ends and the landscape begins.

Early winter morning light hitting just right.

Quiet, low sun pulling depth out of every surface while reflections in the glazing create perceived layers. The steel siding softening into something almost atmospheric. Even the green island playing an important role with a contrast of color.

A simple moment, but a good reminder of how materials and light do most of the work.
