When we first stepped into this property, the damage was extensive. After a devastating house fire, our investor client needed more than just a renovation — this home needed to be completely gutted and rebuilt from the inside out.

Our team worked to salvage what we could while transforming the rest of the property, and now we’re getting closer to the finish line! 🔨

The new subfloor is officially installed at our Atlanta investor project, and this transformation is really starting to take shape. 🔨

We’re taking what was once a duplex and completely reimagining it into a single-family home for our client. From demolition and reframing to rebuilding the floors and restructuring the layout, there’s been a lot of work happening behind the scenes to get this property ready for its next chapter.

This project is well on its way, and we already know this one is going to be a great flip for our investor. 👏🏽🏠

We’re kicking off another renovation for one of our investor clients, and this property is about to look completely different.

One of the biggest changes? That wall is coming DOWN. 👀

We’re opening up the floor plan so the kitchen is visible as soon as you walk in, adding a peninsula, and reconfiguring the appliances and cabinetry to create a space that feels more open, functional, and updated.

You’ve seen where this property started. Now, we’re getting closer to showing you the finished transformation.

This home suffered major fire damage, and JM LEE CONSTRUCTION has been working to bring our client’s property back to life from the inside out.

In the kitchen, our crew is now installing the cabinets and knocking out some of the final details as we move closer to completing this renovation. 🔨

🏠 — Sometimes removing ONE wall can completely change a home. 👀

For this client’s renovation, we’re creating a more open and functional floor plan by removing the wall that separated the kitchen and living room.

To properly support the structure after removing the wall, our team installed an LVL beam, allowing us to open up the space while maintaining the necessary structural support. 🏗️

Now the kitchen and living room flow together, creating a much more open feel — and we’re not even finished yet.

🏗️ UPDATE — We didn’t just remove a few walls… we removed the SECOND FLOOR. 👀

This former duplex is undergoing a complete transformation into a single-family home, and our client wanted an entirely new floor plan — so we’re rebuilding it to match their vision.

Since our last update, the JM LEE CONSTRUCTION team has:

🔨 Removed the interior walls and second floor
🏠 Reframed and restructured the home
🪜 Demolished the old duplex staircase
🏗️ Added 6 new footings to support the new staircase
✨ Started creating a grand entrance with a new staircase right down the middle

And we’re just getting started.

🏗️ — This duplex is officially being transformed.

We’re turning this duplex into a single-family home, and right now, we’re getting the bones of the property ready for what’s next.

Our team has completed major demolition across the first and second floors, replaced the second-floor joists, and started reframing the home to bring the new layout to life.

This is the part of a renovation most people never see — but it’s also some of the most important work. Before the finishes, fixtures, and final reveal, you have to make sure the structure is built right. 💪🏽
