Not all seedlings are going to make it && that’s okay. 🌱😂

Some are future producers.

Some are character builders for the gardener. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Repotting my Red in Gold watermelon seedlings 🍉🌱

First, I mixed up my potting blend using soil, coco coir, perlite, and Black Kow composted cow manure. This creates a light, well-draining mix that gives the roots plenty of room to grow.

Next, I used a fork to gently wiggle each seedling out of the cell tray without damaging the roots. Then I flipped the fork around and used the handle to make the perfect planting hole.

Place the seedling in the hole, cover the roots, and gently firm the soil around the base. Give it a good watering, and it’s ready to keep growing!

Who’s growing watermelons this season? 🍉☀️

Before you blame your plants… check your soil.

Most struggling gardens come down to one thing…poor soil structure. When soil is too compact, roots can’t spread, water either sits on top or drains too fast, and your plants can’t access the nutrients they need.

That’s where soil conditioner comes in. It works by loosening compacted soil, improving drainage, and increasing aeration so roots can actually breathe and grow. At the same time, it helps the soil hold just enough moisture—so your plants stay hydrated without becoming waterlogged.

It also adds organic matter, which feeds beneficial microbes in the soil. Those microbes break down nutrients into forms your plants can actually absorb, leading to stronger, healthier growth.

Healthy soil = stronger roots = better growth. 🌿

Save this for your next planting day.

Planted my peppers and carrots together…
and it just made sense.

They grow in completely different spaces
so they don’t compete.

More food.
Same space.

Sometimes you don’t need more…
you just need to adjust 🌱

Sometimes every seed doesn’t germinate and that’s okay 🌱
I had a plan for my onions, but it didn’t fully work out. So instead of leaving the space empty, I repurposed it by replanting my peppers where they now have better room, sunlight, and airflow 🌶️

Smart gardening is about adjusting when needed so everything can thrive.

Peppers and tomatoes may grow differently, but they both need space for airflow, root development, and sunlight. Don’t plant too close it affects your harvest. 🫑🍅

Smart gardening tip 🌿
Don’t be afraid to replant your peppers
space = growth.

If you’re in Georgia, you KNOW the pollen is disrespectful right now 🤧

I’ve been drinking my Breathe Tea daily and it’s the only thing that’s actually helping

🌿 Mullein helps clear the lungs + reduce mucus
🌿 Peppermint supports easier breathing
🌿 Ginger reduces inflammation in the body

Is the pollen taking you out?
