What a fun summer it’s been.

World Cup matches have been playing throughout the office all summer, giving our team plenty to watch, debate, and celebrate.

Making the World Cup the theme of our annual Summer BBQ was an easy choice. Between multiple languages playing on the TVs, team predictions, backyard games, and great food, it was a reminder that sports have a unique way of bringing people together.

None of our teams lifted the trophy this year, but we still came away with great memories and an even better appreciation for the global game.

We’ll miss having World Cup matches on in the background in the office, but we’re already excited to do it all again for the Women’s World Cup next year.

Our 2026 summer interns made a huge impact during their time at Leapley.

Over the past eight weeks, these future builders immersed themselves in active project sites and preconstruction, learning from experienced teammates while making meaningful contributions of their own. During their final presentations, they shared thoughtful reflections on the importance of safety, teamwork, communication, and the trade partners who make every project possible.

One intern put it best: "I looked forward to going to work every day."

Thank you to Heather Rich for leading another outstanding internship program and to every project team that invested their time and knowledge in these students.

To our interns: thank you for choosing to spend your summer with Leapley. We appreciate your hard work, your curiosity, and the positive impact you made. We're excited to see what comes next and wish you all the best as you head back to school or begin your careers.

Vacant no more - there’s an impressive new headquarters at Tech Corner II!

Following the complete demolition of the existing interiors, Leapley Construction delivered a new 260,000 SF workplace spanning all eight floors of the facility, including a reconfigured lobby, upgraded auditorium, conference center, executive-level CEO suite, four custom "energy district" collaboration spaces, warming kitchens, and renovated interconnecting stairs.

The finished space is a major transformation for the client - thoughtfully designed and built to support collaboration, flexibility, and the company’s culture through details integrated throughout the workplace.

This buildout reflects the strength of true partnership between the owner, design team, trade partners, and project team from start to finish. The project is also on track to earn LEED ID+C Silver certification, reinforcing the client’s commitment to both sustainability and community impact.

Following completion of the headquarters, Leapley Construction delivered a finish refresh of the Tech Corner fitness center in the building and remained onsite to support the buildout of the Tech Corner II food hall, helping bring new energy and activation to the property after years of vacancy. New exterior signage work is ongoing.

Thank you to every teammate, partner, and trade contractor who contributed to the successful delivery of this remarkable project.

For 250 years, America has been built by people willing to solve problems, learn new skills, work together, and create something that lasts.

Every hospital, school, laboratory, workplace, and community space started with people who believed they could build something better than what existed before.

We’re proud to play a part in that story alongside our clients, designers, trade partners, and teammates.

As America celebrates 250 years, we’re looking ahead to the projects, partnerships, and people that will help shape the next 250.

Happy Independence Day from all of us at Leapley Construction.

First Place Build Georgia Award Winner: HOK

When a respected design partner becomes the client, expectations are high, and our collaboration becomes even more meaningful.

This First Place recognition celebrates the craftsmanship and teamwork that brought this award-winning space to life — safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Congratulations and thank you to the teams at HOK and Jamestown, our outstanding trade partners, and everyone who contributed their expertise and talent to this award-winning project.

Many of the lessons learned on a construction site help us succeed in everyday life.

For Father’s Day, we asked a few Leapley dads:

“What is one lesson from construction you’ve passed on to your children?”

From integrity and accountability to perseverance and hard work, their answers reflect values that matter both at work and at home.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, grandfathers, bonus dads, mentors, cool uncles, neighborhood dads, and father figures who teach us, look out for us, and inspire us to be better every day.

Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when news of emancipation finally reached enslaved people in Texas more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued.

It is a day to reflect on freedom, resilience, and progress while recognizing an enduring truth: rights and opportunities are most meaningful when people can truly access them.

History reminds us that progress is rarely automatic. It requires intentional action to expand opportunity, remove barriers, and create pathways for people to participate, contribute, and succeed.

Together, we honor the significance of Juneteenth and the ongoing work of building communities where everyone has the same opportunity to thrive.

First Place Build Georgia Award Winner: Piedmont Cancer Institute Johns Creek

It's not déjà vu - this is our second Piedmont Cancer Institute project to earn a First Place Build Georgia Award from AGC Georgia.

The newest Piedmont Cancer Institute Johns Creek location is a 10,200-SF outpatient oncology center designed to support consultations, infusion therapy, and highly specialized pharmaceutical compounding.

The space includes private exam rooms for one-on-one care, an infusion area accommodating patients and their families, and a compounding pharmacy built to meet stringent clean-room and hazardous material requirements. Leapley Construction delivered precision environmental controls, pressure-monitored rooms, and carefully coordinated MEP systems within an occupied medical building without interrupting ongoing patient care.

This First Place recognition honors the planning, coordination, and technical expertise required to deliver complex healthcare environments in occupied buildings without disruption to neighboring operations.

Thank you to Rusty Brewer, Alex Kinney, Ben Fairchild, Piedmont Cancer Institute, Medical Management Associates, and our outstanding trade partners for helping make this project a success.

Atlanta is our hometown. Interior construction is our foundation.

We're proud to be ranked the #1 woman-owned interior commercial contractor in Atlanta and #5 overall.

While our work has expanded across healthcare, science and technology, higher education, and commercial markets, interior construction remains at the core of who we are. It's where we started, where we've built lasting relationships, and where our journey to go beyond the build began.

Thank you to our clients, partners, and teammates for helping us continue to grow while staying true to our roots.

First Place Build Georgia Award Winner: NELSON

When one of the country's leading architecture and design firms builds its own office, expectations are understandably high.

Located in West Midtown's Star Metals Building, NELSON's 5,350-SF office features curved glass partitions, custom millwork, polished concrete floors, exposed systems, and thoughtfully designed collaborative spaces.

Leapley Construction delivered the modern office space on time, under budget, and with zero recordable safety incidents. Achieving that outcome required thoughtful planning, precise ex*****on, and seamless collaboration among the many team members involved in making this project a success.

Congratulations and thank you to Kreg Butcher, NELSON Worldwide, our outstanding trade partners, and everyone who contributed their time, talent, and expertise to this project. This recognition reflects the collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving that brought this award-winning space to life.
