As Hispanic Heritage Month comes to a close, we're celebrating the women building our industry, and the Latinas leading the way.
Women now hold 14.4% of construction payroll jobs, a record high. Latinas are a big part of that growth. From 2011 to 2022, the share of women in construction who are Hispanic more than doubled, from 11% to 25%.
At P2K, we know this story from the inside. We are a women-owned firm led by a Latina. Every day, we see women in hard hats, behind survey equipment, running estimates and leading crews.
These numbers show real progress, and the women behind them are shaping the future of construction. We're proud to be part of that story, and we're committed to opening more doors for the women coming up next.

Precision 2000, Inc. is reaching major milestones on this project. It is turning the historic Camp Truitt site into a 30+ acre public destination with walking trails, event spaces, and restored historic buildings that will serve as hubs for education and community life.
Here's what our crews have completed so far:

- Tree removal, mass grading, and drainage improvements
- Retaining walls for the promenade area
- Erosion control across the site
- Roadway shaped to its final profile, ready for curb and asphalt paving
- Rough grading for the roundabout, future home of a water fountain, and for the future waterfall area. These will be two of the garden's signature features.

Below ground, we've upgraded the water main and are moving overhead electrical and communications lines underground. This supports the garden's future operations and gives visitors a more open view.
New sidewalks along Global Gateway will make it easier to walk to and around the garden. A viewing plaza beside the roadway will give visitors their own space to take in the scenery.

Nearly one in three construction workers in the U.S. is Hispanic. Every day, they pour foundations, frame homes, pave roads and bring projects in on time and on budget.
At P2K, we see their skill, work ethic and pride on every jobsite. Many of our team members carry traditions of craftsmanship passed down through generations, and they're passing that knowledge on to the next generation of builders.

P2K has finished replacing the aging bridge at Milepost 1.77 on Williamson Cemetery Road in the Chattahoochee–Oconee National Forest, so the road now gives safe, long-term access to the Rock Creek recreation area.
The old bottomless arch pipe culvert was too small. Our team replaced it with a durable 90-foot single-span bridge built with prestressed concrete box beams on cast-in-place caps and H-pile foundations. The stream now has more room to flow, which means less flooding upstream and better protection for the Rock Creek stream corridor. It's also a low-maintenance crossing built to last for generations.
We're proud to build infrastructure that serves both the community and the natural environment around it.

Our P2K team laced up for the Kaiser Permanente Run, Walk & Roll 5K in Summerhill, joining thousands of Atlanta professionals for one of the country's largest corporate 5K events.
We work hard but we also play hard as a team. The spirit that builds strong projects every day showed up on the course too: support, energy, and a commitment to each other's well-being.

High school student Sarah Lancheros visited P2K headquarters and construction sites, shadowing engineers and gaining firsthand insight into the world of civil engineering.
This experience deepened Sarah’s interest in civil engineering and inspired her to continue exploring it as a possible college major.
