More Plants Won’t Fix Your Flower Bed. Layering Will.

A beautiful annual bed isn’t about cramming in more plants—it’s about layering height, texture and color. 🌿

Elephant ears for height.
Angelonia for vertical color.
Begonias for fullness.
Duranta for that bright front edge.

Design the layers first. Then plant.

Your Wall Doesn’t Need Paint 🌿

Stop repainting the wall. Grow it instead. 🌿

Boston ivy gives you bold seasonal foliage, while creeping fig creates a finer, evergreen-looking cover in climates where it is hardy. Both are self-clinging, so placement matters—they can attach very firmly to walls.

Which would you choose?

Two plants. One bare wall. A completely different garden.

Boston Ivy — vigorous, deciduous + beautiful fall color.
Creeping Fig — fine-textured, vigorous + evergreen where hardy.

Design tip: Use self-clinging vines on sound masonry and keep them controlled. Boston ivy, in particular, is not recommended on wood or shingle walls because its holdfasts are difficult to remove and can cause problems.

JUST BREATHE 🍎🌿

Some days don’t need more plans.
They need something warm, something simple, and a little quiet.

Apple, cinnamon & whole cloves simmering together. 🍎🤎
A cozy cup and a moment to just breathe.

How to Dry Herbs the Old-Fashioned Way

You don’t need a dehydrator. 🌿
Sometimes the old-fashioned way is all you need.

Small bundles. Good airflow. No direct sun. Store only when fully dry.

A simple guide to air-drying garden herbs naturally. Harvest after the dew dries, rinse if needed, remove excess moisture, hang small bundles in a warm, dry, well-ventilated spot away from direct sunlight, and store when the leaves are crisp and fully dry.

Sometimes the old-fashioned way is still the best way.

Hang them, let them dry naturally, and save your garden for later.
