Here’s some designer insight on this delightful indoor/outdoor space at our latest home photoshoot ✨

From our in-house designer Jessica: “The accordion window with indoor/outdoor counter was one of the driving elements of the kitchen redesign. The previous design had a grouping of three small double hung windows at the sink and the client really wanted a more clear view of the backyard and more natural light to come into the kitchen.”

Jessica selected a marble counter that was carefully coordinated to run seamlessly from interior to exterior, and custom steel brackets give the overhang enough reach to offer real protection from the rain. Also, the standing seam metal roof accent ties it back to the front and side of the house, a throughline that brings cohesion across every elevation.

We are in awe of this transition, and with this week’s weather we wish we could experience an afternoon refreshment perched at this counter. We can only dream!
