⚠️ Homeowners: A Permit Is Only Part of the Process

A homeowner in Newnan pulled their own permit for a screened-in, waterproof deck and hired a contractor to build it. Unfortunately, required inspections were never called in, structural posts were not properly secured, and the waterproofing was not installed correctly.

When the project was finally inspected, the homeowner was informed that the deck would need to be torn down and rebuilt correctly.

The lesson: Make sure your contractor builds to the approved plans, follows code requirements, and schedules every required inspection. Cutting corners can turn one project into paying for it twice.

⚡️ Big shoutout to my electrician PrimeArc Electric, for knocking out this panel swap for me!

A golf cart caught fire inside the garage and absolutely smoked the existing electrical panel. We knew this needed to be addressed immediately, so PrimeArc stepped up and got the damaged panel completely replaced—even before the insurance company had officially approved the panel replacement.

When you’re dealing with fire restoration, having dependable subcontractors who show up and take care of business makes all the difference.

From a smoke-damaged panel to a brand-new installation. Great work by PrimeArc Electric! 💪⚡️

How do you price a project when there are no plans?

It starts with understanding your vision. From there, I put pencil to paper—using an architect’s ruler and graph pad to create a rough design, determine dimensions, and establish a realistic baseline cost.

You don’t always need finished blueprints to start the conversation. Bring me your idea, and we’ll start turning it into a plan.

Due to a fire in the garage that smoked out the entire home we had to gut the garage, I currently my HVAC team Best Call Heating and Air is removing and replacing all the ductwork though out the home.
