Thank you to the Energy Coalition of Ohio for hosting the Energy Exchange in Athens.

At the event, Mayor Steve Patterson shared that Athens once held the highest per-capita number of solar installers in the state, a good reminder that the Athens community has been supporting solar energy for decades! We're grateful for the conversations and look forward to seeing many of you again at next week's Ohio Energy Conference.

The Kokosing Solar team recently attended the Amicus Solar Cooperative Sales & Marketing Retreat to connect with fellow member companies to share what we learned in 2026, explore emerging solar energy trends, and talk strategies for delivering greater value to our customers.

As the solar and energy landscape continues to evolve, opportunities to learn from trusted industry peers are invaluable. Through the Amicus network, we're able to collaborate with leading independent solar companies and bring their fresh perspectives back to the projects we support in the Midwest every day.

Thank you to Amicus Solar Cooperative for hosting another impactful event!

Will solar increase my home's value?

Thinking about solar as a home improvement project? Many homeowners ask whether solar can add value to their property. Here's what our research tells us:

🏠 Homes with owned panels sell for more than homes with panels that are leased.
💵 A 2025 study by SolarReviews found homes with solar sell for 6.9% more than equivalent homes without solar
💵 A 2019 report by Zillow shows that on a national average, homes with solar sold for 4.1% more than homes without solar.

At the end of the day, homebuyers will be thrilled by the prospect of purchasing a home with little to no electricity bill. They’re going to be willing to pay more for that benefit.

One of the most common questions we hear: "How long do solar panels last?"

Solar panels are designed to provide reliable energy for decades: 25+ years.

While energy efficiency slightly decreases over time, today's solar technology is built for long-term performance and durability. At Kokosing Solar, we design systems with longevity in mind so homeowners can maximize their investment for years to come.
