Hello everyone! With the extreme winter weather we are having, we would like to share a helpful tip. Heat pump units are not efficient past 30/35°. We would suggest to run your unit in emergency heat over the next few days to help your heat pump out. Your coil may have ice on it from the snow/rain that is moving in. It isn’t a cause for panic as the unit will go through a defrost cycle and as there is not much to be done with the temperatures for thawing the unit, that’s why the emergency heat will be important. Your fan blades can freeze due to the snow/rain coming in also, please DO NOT pour water on your unit as it can further freeze things. Please understand we will do our best to serve you, but we may not be able to reach everyone due to road conditions, as we want to keep our techs safe so they can return home to their families. If you have supplemental heat please utilize it and call us when the roads are in stable condition. We will ask everyone if they have another form of heat and if you do that will mean a delay in service until the roads are clear. If it is an absolute emergency we will do our best to safely reach you! Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time and your continued support over the years!
