We had a few days of good, solid rain here in Athens, and the drains did exactly what they were supposed to do! 🙌🏼

That’s the kind of stuff you may not notice, but you sure appreciate it when the Texas sky opens up! Good building isn’t just about making it pretty, it’s about making sure everything works too. 🏡

There’s something exciting and special about taking a family’s ideas, dreams, and plans and turning them into a place they get to call home.

We’re proud to serve Athens and the surrounding East Texas communities, building custom homes with quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a whole lot of heart.

Whether you’ve been dreaming about building for years or you’re just starting to think about it, we’d be honored to be part of the journey.

Just a casual little stove for Sanctuary. Nothing dramatic here. 😉

We couldn’t be more excited to officially welcome Shannon Guyton Gurley to our executive team!

Shannon was the creative and design force behind Sanctuary, bringing the vision to life through her thoughtful design, creativity, and incredible eye for detail. She designed nearly every element of the space, creating something truly special.

Her talent and vision have also made a beautiful impact on several of our other projects, and we’re so thankful to have her as part of the team. And while we’re lucky to have her working alongside us, Shannon will also continue taking on her own clients and bringing that same creativity and vision to other projects.

We can’t wait to see where her creativity takes her next and we’re pretty excited to have a front-row seat!

Welcome to the team, Shannon! We’re blessed to have you! ❤️

Desert 🌵To Pines 🌲 is officially IN THE DRY! 🙌🏼🏡

Another big milestone for this beautiful build! The roof is going on, the house is getting closed in, and it’s looking more like home every day.

Stay tuned…the fun part is just getting started! 🔨

Tucked beneath the towering pines of East Texas, this 4,667-square-foot home brings together the peace of country living with the comforts of home. But what makes The Sanctuary special isn’t simply its size or finishes, it’s the intention behind every space.

Nearly 6,850 square feet under roof was thoughtfully designed for family, hospitality, quiet moments, and plenty of memories.

A few of our favorite features:
• Private prayer garden off the primary suite
• Personal coffee & tea bar
• Two main-floor guest suites with private baths
• Two custom bunk rooms (handcrafted by More Space Cabinets,LLC) sleeping 10 guests
• Soundproof home theater with private concession room
• Custom library with a hidden queen Murphy bed
• Upstairs balcony overlooking the East Texas surroundings
• Custom craftsmanship throughout from talented local makers

From a quiet morning in the prayer garden to a house full of family for the weekend, every detail was created with the people who would live here in mind.

Sanctuary wasn’t simply designed to be lived in. It was designed around a life.

Designed by Shannon Guyton Gurley and brought to life by Holton Brothers Custom Homes alongside some incredibly talented East Texas craftsmen. And we’re just getting started showing this one off! 🏡✨
