Not often I get photo ops on the job but you know what they say “when life gives you lemons, you shouldn’t toss them at a glass house, with a happy wife inside” or something like that. Here’s a couple from this week on one of Brighton Built’s new shop designs! Hit them up for a new shop. They are top notch. Photo and quote credit to Colin.
(Customer didn’t want to pe*****te the beautiful new standing seam roof with a service mast so we got creative with some gently used equipment from another build).

What a week! I don’t know about you all but we’ve been busy as hell! Some before and afters on a panel upgrade/ interlock and a new 200A generac auto transfer.

My customers/collaborators on this project said it best today. The conjoining of two eras on this project was unblemished . This wooden ground mount structure built by the customer was super rugged with quite primitive building techniques. The rest of the equipment was modern and sleek. They came together to create what I would call solar art. We can find ways to work together and make a system that works great, stands the test of time, and doesn’t completely break the bank, together! Thanks Fred and Nicki for the vote of confidence. I had a great time collaborating on this with you.

One of my legend neighbors is building a super rugged ground mount setup from scratch! Can’t wait to get some panels on there, get it producing some power, and show you all the finished product!!

I love what the folks at Hartland Historical Society are up to. Pouring a ton of love and energy into restoring this home on 83 Elm street right in town and I’m super happy to be a part of it. Chuck and I spent 3 days removing old wiring, cleaning up the panel, labeling everything, and fixing lighting. In the coming weeks a new sub panel will be added to the second floor in preparation for more restoration for the elevated levels. Go check the place out and drop a donation! We need this kind of preservation in our local community!

Solar can be tough. Especially as a one man shop. Wearing the hats of sales, designer, admin, installer, etc. only the people that have done it know the feat of accomplishment this truly is to complete. If there is any customer and any place I’d want to try and tackle it, it would be right up on our hill for Carla. She kept our spirits up (in more ways than one!), the energy high, and the vibes just right for this install and I’m happy to say it’s up and running and we’re not just ready for an outage but excited for one.
