Looking for turn painting this season. Need to know how to paint baseboards, cut and roll, and prep. Must have own brush and transportation . All jobs are in Athens ga. We pay overtime

Painter
Responsibilities:
• Inspect and fully paint vacated apartments assigned
• Cover floors with drop clothes, plastic and tape
• Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints with putty and mud
• Tape, plastic, and spray oil base primer on stains
• Completes required forms regarding paint assignments
• Restore apartment to "market ready" status as it relates to drywall repairs, caulking and painting.
• Communicate with Service manager concerning apartments that need painting in order of priority
• Work with service team to complete their functions in the make-ready process • Report when paint and supplies are low to avoid depletion
• Requires flexibility and understanding that all maintenance staff may be required to perform duties outside their normal area of expertise to meet the mission and goals of the community
• Other duties could include working in other areas of the maintenance department to provide support during absences or shortage of staff in other trades or to perform duties associated with light construction projects

Skills needed:
• Knowledge of current methods, practices, tools, equipment, and materials used in the painting and drywall trades
• Highly proficient (2+ years) with drywall repair, mud, texture, and preparation for painting.
• Experience painting ceilings, walls, and trim. Spraying is preferred application for walls and ceilings.
• General knowledge of maintenance skills
• Ability to properly apply paints
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to use a computerized maintenance management system for work order processing

Required Qualifications:
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Transportation to the shop or the job site and transportation home. 90% of work is in Athens, Ga
• Ability to pass a background and drug test
