Today, we're celebrating five years with Garrett McQuate!

From day one, we had high hopes for Garrett, and he has continued to exceed expectations. Over the past five years, he has grown into a seasoned excavation operator who can always be counted on to get the job done right.

One thing that hasn't changed is his positive attitude. You'll always find Garrett with a smile on his face and a willingness to tackle whatever challenge comes next.

Thank you, Garrett, for your hard work, dedication, and the example you set each day. We appreciate everything you bring to the team and look forward to watching your continued growth in the years ahead.

Although Saturday's rain cut the party short, our crew had a great time with Ashland's littlest construction workers during the annual Touch-a-Truck on Main Street.

We had the privilege of hosting 17 teachers from Ashland, Wayne, and Holmes counties during the North Central Workforce Alliance of Ohio 's 2 B.E. Connected Teacher Bootcamp. The program gives educators a firsthand look at career paths that don't require a college degree. Simonson Construction was proud to be one of several businesses featured on the tour.

Thank you to Dan Moore and Bob Kelley for leading the discussion and tour through our office expansion, and thank you to the NCWA and Tri-County Educational Service Center for connecting educators with local career opportunities.
