The Ashland City Schools Middle School experienced some exterior improvements, just in time for the new school year.

The following updates provided increased safety and reduced upkeep:

- New safety railing
- New sidewalk
- New retaining wall
- New landscaping stone

Small improvements can make a big difference. These updates help create a safer, more welcoming environment for students and staff as they head into a new school year.

Five years with Eric Cordonnier!

Eric started with us as an excavation laborer and, through grit, determination and an outstanding work ethic, has worked his way into a foreman position.

He’s the kind of person who never says, “That’s not my job.” Whether it’s rain or shine, Eric shows up ready to work, willing to tackle whatever challenge comes his way.

As Eric likes to say, “We don’t get rained out, we get rained on!” And that attitude says a lot about him.

Eric, we appreciate all you bring to the SCS team and look forward to seeing where your hard work takes you in the years ahead. Happy 5-year anniversary!

The rain didn't dampen the excitement surrounding the City of Ashland Ohio's groundbreaking ceremony for its Ashland Public Transit building.

The 14,500-square-foot building will house the City's fleet of 10 vehicles and a small office. The facility will also serve as a pick-up and drop-off location for GoBus passengers. A secure lobby will provide a place for passengers to wait when the transit office is closed.

With nearly 32,500 rides provided in 2025 over a span of 139,760 miles, this new facility will quickly prove its value to this well-used service.

It's always an honor to work on a project in our community that will make a meaningful impact.

It's always refreshing to receive positive feedback when a project is completed.

Mechanics Bank's downtown Mansfield office experienced a few surprises during a recent renovation. Our team diligently saw the project through to completion and the end result was a satisfied customer.

Ten guys were called out for being the most helpful to the summer hires. Two were mentioned twice (atta boys, Abe and Shaun!).

We appreciate the mentorship our team provides to new and seasonal employees. Their willingness to teach, answer questions, and lend a hand is helping shape the next generation of our workforce.
