We’ve been getting a lot of questions on ways to help Western North Carolina recover from the devastation of Hurricane Helene. We encourage everyone to give to reputable organizations and donate to community supply drives sponsored by your local county governments or local charitable organizations. As many roads are still impassable in Western NC, do not collect supplies to drive to this area. Utilize established organizations that can help get these supplies to the people that need help. In times of disaster, there are many scams that try to use an individual’s strong desire to help to get them to donate to fraudulent charities. Be sure that the organization you choose to give to is one that is trusted.

Here is a list of suggested charitable organizations that are working in Western NC:

"We have a beautiful white oak that is over 300 years old which is directly next to our house. Some of the limbs on this oak are the size of a tree. We had Grizzly Bear out to evaluate the tree due to its size and proximity to the house. The entire crew was really interested in helping us in keeping the tree healthy. They were all really personable and did a great job of cleaning up the limbs reducing the weight.." says Steven on Google
