Celebrating a New Chapter for ABS!

On September 24th, we were proud to celebrate the completion of renovations to our manufacturing facility in Hot Springs, NC, with a ribbon cutting ceremony alongside local and state leaders, community members, and employees.

Following the loss of our previous facility due to Hurricane Helene, this investment marks an important milestone in ABS's continued growth and commitment to manufacturing excellence in Western North Carolina. We are grateful to everyone who helped make this next chapter possible, including the North Carolina Department of Commerce and Madison County NC Economic Development for their support through the Building Reuse Program grant.

How does membrane technology upgrade landfill gas into RNG?

The graphic below shows a cross-section of an Evonik hollow-fiber membrane. As landfill gas passes through the membrane bundle, CO₂ molecules permeate through the membrane wall more quickly than methane, allowing methane to remain concentrated in the product stream for RNG production. This selective separation helps maximize methane recovery while producing pipeline-quality gas.

This isn’t a role where you manage just one piece of the process. At ABS, you’ll help bring custom biogas and renewable natural gas (RNG) equipment to life - working alongside engineers, welders, fabricators and field crews from project planning through fabrication, installation, commissioning and closeout.

Our projects range from $500K to $5M+, and your work will directly impact the schedule, budget and success of each project. If you have project management experience in manufacturing, fabrication, energy or construction and are ready for a hands-on role, we’d like to hear from you.

Exciting progress continues at Advanced Biogas Systems! Our manufacturing facility is undergoing a major refresh, including improvements to both the exterior and interior, to better support our growing operations. As part of the upgrades, ABS has installed a new crane system to improve material handling capabilities and shop efficiency. Stay tuned as the space continues to take shape!
