Something new is taking shape.

A new Studio 16 Architecture website is coming.

It will be more than a new presentation of our work. It will tell the story of where we’ve been, the Philosophy that guides us, the Transformation Model that defines how we work, and the Building Stories that demonstrate those ideas through architecture.

And it will look ahead to what we’re building now and what Studio 16 can become in the years and generations ahead.

This Ocean Grove, NJ cottage is more than a finished renovation.

It’s the realization of a vision.

Every decision, from reconstructing the porches to restoring historic details, introducing Craftsman-inspired elements, and selecting a timeless color palette, was guided by one question:

How can this home become the best version of itself?

The answer came through collaboration.

With the homeowners.

With the contractor.

With the Historic Preservation Commission.

With Neptune Township.

And through a deep respect for the history and character that make Ocean Grove unlike anywhere else.

The result isn’t simply a more beautiful house.

It’s a home that feels more authentic.

A streetscape that’s a little stronger.

A reminder that architecture has the power to transform people, communities, and generations.

It should shape the way people live, experience space, and connect with one another.

After nearly 30 years in practice, this belief has become the foundation of our work at Studio 16.

We call it the Transformation Model — a way of thinking about architecture as something that can positively impact people, communities, and generations.

This perspective has been shaped over time through the trust of our clients, the dedication of our team, and the craftsmanship of the contractors we’ve had the privilege to work with.
