Working with Quarterhill Inc. and Colorado Transportation Investment Office (CTIO) our team is working to upgrade the Express Lanes with new dynamic pricing signs, CCTV cameras, communications equipment, tolling infrastructure, traffic control, and civil improvements—all while working safely in live roadway environments, often overnight.

🚨 When critical infrastructure goes down, every minute matters.

Our Signal Operations team responded to an emergency repair on I-285 near Covington Highway that required pacing and temporarily shutting down traffic in both directions.

Led by Travis Lankford, the crew executed the repair safely and efficiently, keeping the interstate closed for a total of just four minutes before reopening traffic and restoring fiber connectivity.

This is the kind of work most drivers never see... yet it's absolutely essential to keeping transportation systems operating safely and reliably.

A special thank you to the entire crew for their professionalism, coordination, and commitment to getting the job done right.

⚠️ Supporting safer roads in the Lynchburg District.

Lumin8 is currently installing TAPCO High Water Warning Systems for Virginia Department of Transportation to detect rising water levels and alert drivers in real time. These systems give drivers the chance to reroute before encountering flooded roadways, improving safety and reducing risk.

Installations are underway on:
• RTE 636 – Poorhouse Rd (Prince Edward County)
• RTE 703 – Irish Rd (Pittsylvania County)

🚧 Progress along the I-95 corridor in Virginia.

Lumin8 is supporting the Virginia Department of Transportation Richmond District as part of the L60 project, installing Changeable Message Signs and structures to enhance real-time communication for drivers.

Recent work includes installations at MM 100 (I-95 NB) and MM 84, where our team completed a structure spanning both northbound and southbound lanes.

This ongoing project reflects the coordination, safety focus, and field ex*****on required to deliver infrastructure in active highway environments.

Strong leadership from Superintendents Cody Kidd and Levi Mutispaugh, along with the dedication of our Virginia Installation team, continues to drive progress.
