This coming weekend, 5th through Labor Day the 7th, will be the end of the splash pad season. When it closes at 8 on the 7th, it will be closed until next spring. The city wants to thank the community for making the splash pad happen and paricipating in the fun. Until next year.

The splash pad will be closed until Saturday due to possible inclement weather from the tropical storm.

🚧 TRAFFIC ALERT – HWY 64 IN ARP 🚧

TxDOT has temporarily lowered the speed limit on HWY 64 through the City of Arp due to ongoing road and bridge maintenance. The new temporary posted speed limit is 55 MPH during this time. This project is expected to take approximately three months.

Please slow down, obey the posted speed limit, and remain alert for construction crews, equipment, and changing traffic conditions. Please help us keep our workers and motorists safe!

The city checked a large portion of town and reported to Republic the areas that were missed.

Due to a situation with the trash pickup today, the remainder of the route not collected will be run tomorrow. Please leave your trash bin out if it was not emptied. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The city wants to infom the community concerning the boil water notice. Water samples have been taken to the lab. We will be contacted in the morning about the results. If the all clear is given, the city will be out of the notice and the community will be notified.

The well pumps have been running all night. Unfortunately the water system was nearly drained completely due to the water loss. It is slowly being refilled. The city has monitored it throughout the night. Hopefuully as the day progresses the system will get back to normal levels.

The city is currently working to refill the water system. A large quantity of water was drained from the system from the water main break. Please be patient as the system is working to refill the city.
