This property along the Atchafalaya River had one major challenge, EROSION!

Frequent rainfall, changing river levels, and runoff were slowly washing away the freshly graded slopes, putting the property and landscape at risk.
After the dirt work was completed, Green Shield Solutions designed a stabilization plan using hydroseeding and erosion control blankets to establish permanent vegetation and protect the slopes from future erosion.

These photos were taken just 7 days after installation.

At this stage, this is exactly what we expect to see.

Existing native vegetation is beginning to recover while the newly applied seed continues to germinate and establish a strong root system beneath the surface. Over the coming weeks, the new stand will continue to mature, providing long-term erosion protection and a
healthy, established landscape.

Our goal has never been to simply sell hydroseeding, silt fence, or erosion matting.
Our goal is to provide solutions.

DIRT UNTIL NOW.

Three weeks ago, this levee was bare soil.
Today, it's already establishing a healthy stand of grass that's doing exactly what it was designed to do; stabilize the soil, minimize erosion, and continue filling in with every passing week.

Hydroseeding isn't about overnight results. It's about building a root system that lasts.
Three weeks down. Looking forward to seeing where it is in another three.

Knocked out some Hydroseeding for The Mahoney Group over the weekend. They laid down Truegrid pavers, filled with top soil, and we handled the rest. This large soil stockpile was stabilized with erosion control matting and seeding to prevent washouts and hold everything in place.

Fast forward a little time and the grass has fully established, locking the soil together and providing long-term erosion control.

Proper stabilization like this is critical on stockpiles, slopes, and disturbed soil areas — especially with the amount of rain we see here in Louisiana.

We had the opportunity to handle the hydroseeding on this apartment complex canal for a contractor we work closely with. Their crew knocked out the dirt work and shaping, and we came in behind them to establish the vegetation.

What started as bare dirt is now a fully established stand of grass helping stabilize the canal slopes and protect the drainage system from erosion.

Always good working alongside solid contractors to bring a project across the finish line.
