✨The man behind the magic!✨

Get to know Cristian, the Owner and Lead Technician at Christian's Task Force.

Cristian was born and raised in Manizales, a beautiful city in Colombia's Eje Cafetero (Coffee Axis) region. He was raised by an amazing group of strong women: his mother, grandmother, and aunts. As a single mom, his mother moved to Bogotá in search of better job opportunities when Cristian was in elementary school. Cristian and his brother followed a few years later, and he remained there until 2022, when he came to the U.S. in search of a better future for himself and his daughter.

Before coming to the U.S., Cristian earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from la Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia (UCC). He had wanted to study engineering (he's great with his hands, after all!), but it wasn't financially feasible at the time.

If you look up "workaholic" in the dictionary, you'll see Cristian's picture right next to the definition. 😂 He's always striving to improve himself and his business and works incredibly hard for his family. But besides "Entrepreneur," the titles Cristian loves most are "Papá," "Padrastro," and "Esposo"!

Here in Arlington, Cristian lives with his wife, Chrissy, their baby boy Ezra, and his three stepchildren. He also has a huge piece of his heart back in Bogotá, where his daughter, Camila, lives. She recently celebrated her 15th birthday with a big quinceañera celebration!

Over the past two years, Cristian has worked incredibly hard to build Christian's Task Force from the ground up. What started as a small business offering car detailing, furniture assembly, and lighting installation has grown into a full-service handyman and home improvement company. Today, Cristian is a licensed and insured Class A general contractor!

We're so grateful for our wonderful community of Arlington neighbors. There would be no Christian's Task Force without the support of Arlingtonians! ❤️

One of the things I enjoy most about working here in Arlington is getting to help families take care of homes that have so much history.

This week we had the opportunity to help a wonderful family replace what was likely the home’s original attic ladder. After decades of use, it had become difficult to open, unsafe, and no longer sealed properly.

We started by finding the correct replacement with the right size and weight rating, then prepared and painted the new attic hatch before installation so it would match the ceiling perfectly.

On installation day we removed the old unit, reinforced the framing, installed the new insulated attic ladder, added new trim, caulked everything, and finished it so it looked like it had always been there.

While we were there, we also installed a new ceiling fan in the bedroom and repaired a loose electrical outlet.

These are the projects I really enjoy—not just replacing something, but taking the time to make sure it looks right, works safely, and lasts for years.

Thank you to another Arlington family for trusting Christian’s Task Force with your home. Your support truly means a lot to our small business.

If anyone in the neighborhood needs help with home repairs or home improvement projects, feel free to send me a message. I’m always happy to take a look.

Have a great weekend, neighbors!

Another project completed right here in Arlington, VA.

One of our returning clients, who owns a beautiful fitness studio in Ballston, wanted to improve both safety and visibility at the entrance to her business.

The goal was simple: install a solar-powered security camera and a solar-powered light that would provide reliable protection without running new electrical wiring or altering the building’s structure.

Because the property is located in a high-end commercial building, every detail mattered. We carefully planned the installation to keep it clean, professional, and fully respectful of the building’s appearance and requirements. No unnecessary holes, no exposed wiring, and no shortcuts.

The result is a discreet security system, improved lighting for clients arriving early in the morning or after dark, and a finished installation that looks like it has always been part of the building.

We’re grateful every time a client trusts us again. Those repeat customers remind us that quality workmanship, clear communication, and attention to detail truly make a difference.

Whether it’s a small repair, a security upgrade, lighting installation, drywall, painting, carpentry, or a complete home improvement project, we’re always happy to help homeowners and local businesses throughout Arlington and Northern Virginia.

Thank you for continuing to support local small businesses. We look forward to serving our community, one project at a time.

Fresh air should come in. Bugs should stay out.

This week, our team helped an Arlington family restore the window screens throughout their home. Several screens were torn, brittle, damaged, or missing, and the home needed that final touch to feel clean, complete, and ready for the season.

It may seem like a small detail, but clean, strong window screens make a big difference in how your home looks, feels, and functions.

Christian’s Task Force helps Arlington homeowners with:

A closet transformation that completely changed this room.

This Arlington family had been planning this project for a long time. Their child’s closet was filled with an older shelving system that wasted valuable space and no longer met the family’s needs.

Before installing the new custom IKEA closet system, we first had to carefully remove the existing shelving and supports attached to the walls. As with most closet remodels, the demolition left drywall damage that required professional repairs, surface preparation, and painting before the new system could be installed.

We also removed an outdated sliding door system that had become difficult to use over the years and prepared the opening for future upgrades.

Once the walls were repaired and freshly painted, we installed and adjusted the new closet system, creating a space that is:

✔ More organized
✔ Easier to access
✔ Better for storage
✔ Cleaner and more modern
✔ Designed to grow with the family’s needs

This is one of the services we enjoy most because the impact is immediate. Families gain more storage, more organization, and a room that feels completely refreshed without the expense of a major renovation.

At Christian’s Task Force Home Improvement, we specialize in the details that make a house work better for everyday life.

If you have a closet, pantry, mudroom, laundry room, garage, or storage area that needs a fresh start, we’d love to help.

Lighting upgrades can completely change the feeling of a home.

For this project in Arlington, a wonderful returning client trusted us with several lighting improvements throughout their home.

We replaced an old front porch fixture with a brighter, more energy efficient LED light to improve visibility and safety at the main entrance.

Inside the living room, we installed two new wall lights. Since the new fixtures were smaller than the previous ones, we also handled the necessary paint touch ups to leave the area looking clean and finished.

In the laundry room, we replaced an outdated ballast light fixture with a custom fit LED ceiling light, creating a brighter, cleaner, and lower maintenance solution.

This project included electrical work, careful installation, sanding, and paint touch ups to make every detail blend as smoothly as possible.

At Christian’s Task Force, we help families upgrade their homes with safe, reliable, and professional handyman services.
