✨ Project Spotlight | Medallia ✨

DFS Construction partnered with sshape to transform Medallia headquarters into a sophisticated, technology-focused workplace designed around connection, flexibility, and employee experience.

The completed space features private offices, conference and collaboration areas, a classroom, podcast and wellness rooms, touchdown spaces, pantries, and focused-work areas. Rather than starting from scratch, the project incorporated existing concrete floors, workstations, private offices, and ceiling baffles into the new design. Working within these existing conditions, along with the floor plate’s unique geometry, required careful coordination and creative problem-solving to bring the new and existing elements together seamlessly.

We’re proud to have partnered with sshape and Medallia to deliver a workplace where thoughtful design, resourceful construction, and functionality come together.

DFS Construction was proud to sponsor last night’s Lombardi Women event, an inspiring evening bringing together colleagues, clients, and friends for an important cause.
We had a wonderful time connecting with so many familiar faces and were honored to support the lifesaving work of Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center and its commitment to advancing cancer research, treatment, and patient care.

Congratulations to the W**e Dudes for their incredible fundraising efforts! And a special shoutout to our very own for being part of the action.

Our team had a great time celebrating at the Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Metro Washington & Virginia Excellence in Construction Awards Ceremony last night and we were so proud to bring home three awards for the outstanding work of our project teams:

✨ Project Spotlight | Westpark Rooftop ✨

We’re excited to share the recently completed Westpark Rooftop in Tysons, VA! DFS Construction, in partnership with Deceder Group, transformed this rooftop into a modern destination designed for wellness, connection, and enjoying the views. The completed space features a state of the art fitness center, flexible indoor and outdoor gathering areas, comfortable seating, and expansive views across Tysons.

The project also included significant structural improvements to support the new rooftop amenities, along with a new stair and elevator connection that enhances access to the space.

From morning workouts to afternoon meetings and evenings spent taking in the skyline, the new rooftop gives tenants a place to work, recharge, and connect.

An afternoon of learning and connection.

Members of the DFS team recently joined CREW DC for Pitch Perfect: Mastering the Art of the Elevator Pitch, an interactive session led by Cecilia Kane of Cresa.

Through hands-on breakout sessions, our team practiced refining how they communicate their message, tailoring their approach to different audiences, and strengthening the skills that help build meaningful relationships.

Our team is always looking for opportunities to learn, grow, and sharpen the skills that help build stronger connections with clients and industry partners. Thank you to CREW DC and Cecilia for a great session!

We’re excited to welcome Jordan Person, Kaitlyn Petersen, and Shiva Miryala to the DFS Construction team!

Jordan joins us as our Bookkeeper and brings plenty of DC pride with him. A Washington, DC native, he’s a fan of all the local sports teams, a regular Pokémon GO player, and an active member of one of DC’s kickball leagues.

Kaitlyn joins us as our Marketing Coordinator. Outside of DFS, she loves traveling, trying new foods, experiencing different cultures, and taking her rescue dog to the park.

Shiva joins us as an Estimator and definitely knows how to keep life interesting! He loves adventure activities like scuba diving and skydiving, and when he’s not seeking his next adrenaline rush, you can find him playing cricket or diving into the world of VR gaming.

We’re thrilled to have all three of you on board and can’t wait to see all you’ll bring to the DFS team!

🚧 Project Update | Newmark DC Headquarters 🚧
We’re making progress on Newmark’s new Washington, D.C. offices at 1050 17th St. NW!

As Newmark prepares to relocate from its longtime home at 1899 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, DFS Construction is bringing its new workplace to life. Designed by Deceder Group, the space is being built to support a dynamic mix of private offices, huddle rooms, conference spaces, collaborative areas, and a reception lounge designed to make a strong first impression.

We’re especially excited to be partnering with Newmark on this project and helping bring their vision for their new D.C. headquarters to reality. We love watching this new chapter for Newmark take shape in the heart of downtown D.C. More to come as construction progresses!
