☀️ TEXAS HEAT WAVE: DON’T FORGET ABOUT YOUR SPRINKLER SYSTEM!

With this extreme North Texas heat, your lawn is under serious stress, but running your sprinklers longer isn’t always the answer.

A few things you can do:

✔️ Water early in the morning — before the heat and wind increase evaporation.

✔️ Water deep, not just often. Longer, properly spaced watering can encourage deeper roots and a stronger lawn.

✔️ Check your sprinkler system. A broken head, clogged nozzle, bad valve, or poor coverage can leave part of your lawn struggling while wasting water somewhere else.

✔️ Watch for runoff. If water is running down the sidewalk or street, your lawn probably isn’t absorbing it fast enough. Using shorter watering cycles with soak time between them can help.

✔️ Don’t ignore dry spots. Before adding more watering time to the entire system, make sure that area is actually getting proper coverage.
