The last 7 days have been something I’ll never forget. Four days in Vegas at , celebrating Kabella’s 13th birthday Friday night, and watching the OK Angels bring home the 12U USSSA Championship. Tonight I finally got a chance to sit down, catch my breath, and reflect on it all — and I can honestly say it’s been one incredible and humbling week.

CON-EXPO 2026 was incredible. Getting to spend time with CL Boyd and John Deere was something we are truly thankful for. The partnership that has grown with CL Boyd and John Deere is truly special, and hearing leaders in our industry on the Ground Breakers Stage talk about the future of the equipment and innovations shaping our field was inspiring. The John Deere booth was on point!!! So many cool features but walking up and seeing F5 displayed on the pillars at the John Deere booth was one of those “awe/blessed” moments we’ll never forget.

But even more special are the people we’ve met along the way — people who have become like family.

At the end of the day, family is what it’s all about. And family isn’t always just blood. It’s the people who believe in you, show up for you, and stand beside you even when life isn’t perfect.

Because life isn’t perfect. Running a business, raising kids, and making it all work is a hustle. The late nights, early mornings, and 3 AM conversations about the next day or the next move. From the outside it may look easy, but there’s a lot of work behind it.

Tonight I’m just thankful for this life and the people in it. It takes an army and I believe I’ve got one of the best. From my Blood family to my F5 family, I’d stand them up against anybody! And if there’s one thing I know for sure when you surround yourself with the right people, there’s nothing you can’t build together.

Since being back home from Arizona, we’ve had time to truly reflect on what an incredible experience John Deere provided during their Excavator Test Pilot Appreciation Event. Being part of a company like John Deere and CL Boyd is an absolute blessing. When you commit to a product you truly believe in and devote yourself to being ALL IN, it’s because you know it will stand by you through both the good times and the tough ones. John Deere and CL Boyd do exactly that.

F5 Welding & Dozer will be the first to say that John Deere truly has it all. Their equipment is, hands down, the best of the best—but it’s the people behind it that make it extraordinary. From management to engineers, line workers, and the entire team behind it, we’ve never met a more genuine, down-to-earth group. To say we feel like family within the John Deere family doesn’t even begin to capture it—we’re truly grateful for the trust, the support, and the relationships that make this partnership so special.

CL Boyd thank you for the relationships you’ve built with F5. From sales and service to financing, it has never felt like just business. The trust, support, and genuine care you show go far beyond equipment and numbers. You’ve created something truly special within your team, and we are incredibly thankful and honored that F5 gets to be a part of it. This partnership means more to us than words can express and is a true foundation of our success.

Over the past few months, we’ve been blessed to produce John Deere testimonial commercials, share the F5 story with the John Deere team at the Coal Valley Training Facility in Illinois, and be part of the Test Pilot Program. We are truly grateful for these opportunities!

There is so much emotion and heart poured into the construction business we’ve embarked on. When you have dealers like CL Boyd and equipment like John Deere, you’re introduced to the true workhorse of our time. The trust we place in John Deere helps support over 50 F5 families—and in that statement alone, we are proud supporters of this line. Not just because of the name, but because of the legacy that stands behind it.
