As we head into graduation season, it’s worth reminding everyone to celebrate all paths that are chosen. 👏

To the students choosing a trade: we see you, and we’re proud of you. These careers are not only essential, they are incredibly rewarding. They offer real income, hands-on work, and often far less debt than a four-year degree.

For the grads still deciding what to do, Blue Ridge Community College is offering a free summer program designed to help students step directly into the building industry. Their Level Up Core Construction sessions provide hands-on training in everything from safety and tool use to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry. The program is free to students thanks to grants from the National Center for Construction Education and Research and the Lowe’s Foundation.
