MIG WELDER
Use hand-welding to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of
fabricated metal products in a production welding atmosphere.
Major Functions:
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using processes such as gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, shielded metal arc, and resistance welding.
• Remove rough spots from work pieces, using portable grinders, hand files, or scrapers.
• Chip or grand off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scrapers or power chippers, portable grinders, or arc-cutting equipment.
• Weld Components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. Weld tubular products individually or with a partner.
• Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits. o Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
Experience and Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of experience
Essential Job Functions:
• Regular attendance at the workplace
• Understanding verbal and written instructions in English
• Able to read simple blueprints
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds continuously without any restrictions
Compensation:
• $20.00 per hour
