High ceilings are beautiful, but they can be hard to heat well.

With forced air, warm air naturally rises, which can leave the upper part of a room warm while the space where you actually live still feels cold. In a home with high ceilings or or one with two-stories, that can mean turning the thermostat up to get comfortable downstairs, only to have the upstairs feel too hot.

That’s where radiant heat changes the experience.

Beautiful LED lighting for your staircase from Omnilight We use these lights all the time for different applications whether it be staircase, lighting under cabinet shelving you name it. These lights are slick and easy to install. They run off of a transformer so the wiring is low voltage wiring, which makes it easy to get into small spaces. Comfort gets a lot easier when every zone has its own control.

In this video, I’m walking through the Warmboard thermostats and how each room or zone can be set to the temperature that feels right. They’re easy to use, easy to schedule, and the flame icon makes it simple to see when a zone is calling for heat.

Behind the scenes, the system is constantly monitoring temperature changes and adjusting the actuators on the manifolds to help keep each zone within 0.5 degrees of the set point.

That’s the kind of control that makes a home feel consistently comfortable.

Here are some amazing window details on this build. We used A-series windows 1. Matching the window and roof pitch in creating clean crisp lines on the top and bottom bottoms of the window windows as a transition from window to window. 2. Drywall returns and returning the floor into the window. This detail really sets the windows apart and makes them feel like part of the experience when you are in the house. 3. Plan to run the countertops back into the windows. No backsplash just smooth countertops.
