🌿 It’s Been a Tough Year for Plant Diseases
If your lawn or landscape plants are looking a little different this year, you’re definitely not alone.
This summer’s mix of wet weather, dry stretches, and persistent humidity has created ideal conditions for fungal diseases to develop in lawns, trees, shrubs, and perennial plants.
“We had a really wet spring, followed by a dry period, and now we’re dry again, but the humidity has remained very high,” explains Jeremy, our Maintenance Director. “When nighttime temperatures stay in the low to mid-70s for an extended period, fungal diseases can really take off.”
👀 Keep an eye out for:
• Discolored or unusual patches in your lawn
• Spotted or yellowing leaves
• Wilting plants
• Other changes that just don’t look quite right
For residential lawns, we generally don’t recommend routinely treating fungal diseases because treatments can become costly and often require repeated applications.
🌳 Trees, shrubs, and perennial plants are a little different. Some diseases can cause lasting damage if they aren’t properly identified and addressed.
If something in your landscape doesn’t look right, having it correctly identified is always the best place to start. 🌱
