Winter is a great time for dormant pruning on trees like oaks and elms. It can also be beneficial for fruit trees, maples, birches, walnuts and young shade trees. 🌳

Frozen ground can also be a big advantage for larger removals. It can help protect lawns and sensitive areas from ruts and equipment damage. ❄️🚜

🌳 A little planning now can go a long way next year!

Crabapple trees can develop apple scab, a fungal disease that can leave their foliage looking rough and cause leaves to drop early.

🇺🇸 25 Years. Never Forget. 🇺🇸

It’s hard to believe that 25 years have passed since September 11, 2001 — a day that changed our country forever.

For so many of us, the memories are still incredibly clear. Do you remember where you were when you heard the news? Where you were sitting, who you were with, and the feeling of watching something unfold that none of us could fully understand at the time.

Today, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the heroes who ran toward danger, the families whose lives were forever changed, and the courage and unity our country showed in the days that followed.

25 years later, we still remember. We still honor. And we will never forget. ❤️🤍💙

🇺🇸 Happy Labor Day from Lowney’s Tree Service! 🌳

🇺🇸 Labor Day Hours 🇺🇸

Lowney’s Landscaping and Lowney’s Tree Service will be closed Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day.

We are open until 5 PM today and will resume our normal business hours on Tuesday, September 8th.

We hope our team, clients, and community have a safe and relaxing Labor Day weekend! 🌿🌳

🌳 Sometimes the branch on the ground is only part of the problem.

After the recent storm, we were called out for a tree that had lost a large branch. But once our tree team inspected it, it was clear the damage went much deeper.

The overall health of the tree had declined and its structure was compromised — meaning another strong storm could have created an even bigger hazard for the home and property nearby.

In this case, the safest option was to remove the entire tree.

Storm damage isn't always obvious. 👀 If you have a tree that lost a limb, is leaning differently, has cracks or just doesn't look quite right after the storms we've had, it's worth having it checked.

Our Lowney's Tree Service team can help determine whether a tree is still safe or if there's a bigger issue hiding beneath the surface. 🌳

⚾🌧️ A little rain wasn't going to stop one of our favorite Lowney's traditions!

Friday night, our team and their families headed to Neuroscience Group Field for our annual Lowney's Landscaping Timber Rattlers night. The rain had other plans for a while — **1 hour and 21 minutes, to be exact** 😅 — but eventually, we got some baseball! ⚾🍻🌭

The Timber Rattlers didn't come away with the win this time, falling 8-4 to the Lake County Captains, but that definitely didn't ruin the night.

It's always fun to get everyone together outside of work, bring the families along, enjoy some food and drinks, and spend a night just hanging out. 💚

A big thank you to everyone who came out and waited out the weather with us!

We work pretty hard together all season, so we're glad we get to have a little fun together, too. 😁⚾
