The first of what I hope will be many ICF (Insulated Concrete Forms) foundations and buildings is officially in the books!

ICF construction offers a ton of advantages, including superior energy efficiency, strength, durability, and comfort. I’m excited to add this service and continue expanding what Jonny Farr Concrete can offer our customers.

A huge thank you to Jay with Element ICF for coming out to help set the bracing and assist with the pour. Your knowledge and support were greatly appreciated.

Thank you to Farrell Equipment & Supply, especially Korey, for delivering the forms. As always, thanks to Tony for supplying the concrete and to Ryan for getting it done with the pump truck. We couldn’t do it without great partners—even when Mother Nature doesn’t cooperate! 🌧️

A big thank you to Chris for the opportunity and for all the hard work, along with Rick, Ed, and Matt. It was a great team effort from everyone involved.

I think we even impressed Rick Calhoun (for those who know Mr. Calhoun, he measures with a micrometer and cuts with a scalpel). The footing was only 3/16” out of square, and the walls finished within 1/16” of level. For our first ICF project, I’m pretty proud of that.

This is just the beginning, and I’m looking forward to many more ICF projects in the future.

🚧 HIRING – CONCRETE CREW (APPLETON, WI)

We’re looking to add 1 solid crew member to our Appleton team.

Experience:
• Minimum 2 years concrete experience preferred
• The more experience you bring, the more you earn

What We Do:
• 75% Residential / 25% Commercial
• Driveways, stamped patios, flatwork

What You Need:
• Reliable, honest, high integrity
• Professional on job sites
• No complaining — we work hard and stay positive
• Able to drive a 1-ton dually with dump trailer (CDL not required, but a plus)
• Good attitude & sense of humor (you’ll fit in better 😄)

Schedule:
• Start at 6:30 AM, work until the concrete is done
• Average ~50 hrs/week (60+ available if you want it) Drive-Time paid both ways.
• Flexible when it matters — we all have families and kids come first

Leadership Style:
• I’m on-site working with the crew regularly
• I won’t ask you to do anything I wouldn’t do
• Looking for someone who can take direction AND think for themselves

Pay: 💰 $24 – $45/hr
• If you want $35+/hr, you should be able to:
• Run a job start to finish
• Read the site, stay ahead, and solve problems
• Make my life easier, not harder
