🏡🔥 379 NAYMUT STREET — DOTY ISLAND IS COMPLETE! 🔥🏡
WE DID IT. IT’S IN THE BAG — AND IT’S OFFICIALLY FOR SALE!
After months of demolition, rebuilding, restoring, designing, problem-solving, and obsessing over details most people will never even notice, our 379 Naymut Street project on Doty Island is officially COMPLETE.
And I can genuinely say this is one of the greatest projects I’ve ever had the privilege of taking on.
We’re also incredibly excited to have the wonderful Lindsey Kate representing this home and helping us find the next family who gets to call it theirs.
This wasn’t a flip where we walked into a beautiful old house, covered up 100 years of history, threw down some cheap flooring, and called it remodeled.
WE RESTORED THIS HOUSE.
Our goal from day one was simple:
Preserve the craftsmanship, character, and soul that made this home special — while rebuilding everything necessary to give it the comfort, reliability, and function of a modern home.
And man… did this thing come together.
🏡 2,000+ SQ. FT.
🛏️ 4 BEDROOMS
🛁 2.5 BATHROOMS
🚗 3.5-CAR IN-FLOOR HEATED GARAGE
☀️ OVERSIZED FOUR-SEASON SUNROOM
And that’s just the beginning.
🔥 THE SECOND FLOOR
Upstairs you’ll find three bedrooms — each with its own MASSIVE walk-in closet.
The original maple hardwood floors have been completely refinished, with beautiful crown molding throughout.
The upstairs bathroom features a full tub/shower with tiled surround, rainfall shower, dual-sink vanity, and gorgeous 1920s-inspired tile flooring that feels like it has always belonged in this house.
There’s hallway storage with a granite countertop, an incredibly clean and easily accessible attic, beautiful restored solid-wood doors…
…and quite possibly the coolest original laundry chute ever.
Then you walk down the beautifully refurbished original staircase beneath a crystal chandelier and enter the main floor.
🔥 THE MAIN FLOOR
The primary suite is HUGE.
Private full bathroom.
His-and-hers walk-in closets.
Built-in cabinetry.
Tray ceiling.
Crystal chandelier.
And yes — its own access to the laundry chute.
The living room is absolutely massive.
There’s literally a beautiful WORKING GRAND PIANO sitting in it, and there’s STILL room for an incredible seating arrangement.
Then there’s the front window…
Approximately 4 FEET TALL × 10 FEET WIDE — ONE SOLID PIECE OF GLASS.
The amount of natural light it brings into this room is incredible.
Behind the living room is the completely redesigned open-concept kitchen with brand-new cabinetry, granite countertops, all-new appliances, and direct access to the oversized four-season sunroom off the back of the house.
At the front of the home, a small enclosed porch welcomes you through the original entry and directly into the living room and staircase.
At the bottom of those stairs is the original coat closet — still complete with its antique hat holders.
Those are the little details I absolutely love about this house.
Beautiful new glue-down hickory flooring runs through the main level, while classic octagon tile carries that historic character into the primary bathroom.
The original solid-wood doors were refinished.
The original oversized baseboards were restored.
The top caps were restored.
The antique shoe molding was restored.
Even the home’s original heating registers were restored and incorporated back into the upgraded HVAC system.
We weren’t interested in erasing the history of this house.
We wanted to make it shine again.
🔨 BUT THE PRETTY STUFF IS ONLY HALF THE STORY.
This is where I’m probably MOST proud of what we did.
Because anybody can make an old house look good in pictures.
WE WANTED THIS HOUSE TO BE GOOD.
We went after the things you can see AND the things you can’t.
⚡ Brand-new electrical throughout the entire house
🚿 Brand-new plumbing throughout
🔥 Completely upgraded forced-air heating system
❄️ A/C professionally recharged
💧 Brand-new water heater
🌧️ New sump pump installed
🏡 The yard was re-pitched to improve drainage away from the home
🧱 Original fieldstone basement walls in the laundry area were re-mortared and restored
💦 New drainage installed around the basement
📏 Approximately 7-FOOT BASEMENT CEILINGS
🧺 Refreshed and separated basement laundry area
We addressed the mechanicals.
We addressed the electrical.
We addressed the plumbing.
We addressed the drainage.
We addressed the foundation.
We addressed the exterior.
And then we went back and restored the craftsmanship that made this house worth saving in the first place.
Brand-new where it mattered.
Original craftsmanship everywhere we could preserve it.
🔥 AND THEN THERE’S THE GARAGE…
This isn’t your typical detached garage.
We’re talking about a 3.5-CAR GARAGE WITH IN-FLOOR HEAT.
And above it?
A huge fully insulated upper level with enough space for a future office, game room, studio, entertainment space, or potentially an incredible future guest/in-law suite.
The exterior of the home is just as special.
Diamond Kote siding combined with REAL cedar shake.
Large Craftsman-style open soffits.
Beautiful architectural detailing.
Real materials.
Real craftsmanship.
Real character.
And that really sums up what 379 Naymut became.
ALL THE COMFORTS OF MODERN LIVING — WITH THE BONES, SOUL, MATERIALS, AND CRAFTSMANSHIP OF AN EARLY AMERICAN CRAFTSMAN HOME.
We didn’t want to make an old house look new.
We wanted to make a GREAT old house incredible again.
This home has already stood for generations.
After everything we’ve put into it…
IT’S READY TO STAND FOR MULTIPLE GENERATIONS MORE.
That’s what makes me so proud of this one.
There were challenges. There were surprises. There were long days. There were things we probably spent way too much time obsessing over.
But standing back and looking at the finished product…
I’d do it all over again.
I’m beyond proud of this project, but I’m equally humbled by all the people who helped us get it across the finish line.
Our crew.
Our subcontractors.
Our vendors.
Our friends and family.
And everyone who contributed their craft, knowledge, time, patience, ideas, and support.
You helped us build something we’re damn proud to put our name on.
Now it’s time for another family to write the next chapter of this home’s story.
