Mojave Water Agency Our mission is to manage the region's water resources. We're saving water for today & tomorrow.

The MWA is one of 29 State Water Contractors with access to the State Water Project. It was created by High Desert voters in 1960 and is governed by a seven-member elected Board of Directors. The Agency, in cooperation with other water districts, is responsible for managing the region’s water resources to ensure a sustainable supply of water for present and future use. The MWA's boundaries encompass approximately 4,900 square miles of the High Desert and a population of about 440,000 people, including the Victor Valley, Barstow, Yucca Valley, and surrounding communities

💧 MWA to Install New Monitoring Well in Hesperia

Mojave Water Agency will begin construction this October on a new groundwater monitoring well near Randall Street and Stonehenge Avenue in Hesperia.

The Headwaters Monitoring Well will provide important groundwater-level and water-quality data, helping MWA better understand changing groundwater conditions and make informed decisions about long-term water management.

Mojave Water Agency’s Problem Solvers Competition is a chance for students to tackle a real-world water challenge, connect with water industry experts, and compete for school grants of up to $3,000!

⏳ Only 10 schools can participate, with one team per school! There’s still time to get your school involved, but spots are limited.
