Had some fun on my day off today trying out my new Notch Ergo climbers.

These are definitely going to help with some tree removals we have coming up this summer.

We received this testimonial last week from one of our clients:

I have had a couple of small projects completed by Ring Property Services. I appreciate Ryan's background in public service and feel at ease knowing that he, along with anyone working alongside him, has already been cleared by a full background check.

Ryan has been respectful of my home and the changes and updates that I have been looking to make. He is responsive, sets a clear expectation, and communicates well from beginning to end (and beyond).

When I mentioned that one of the projects I was looking to complete was adding a deadbolt to my front door, he made that project a priority without me having to explain my concern for security.

As a single mom with two kids, having someone that I trust working inside my home is of great importance to me. Ryan quickly earned that trust, which has allowed me to move forward with some much-needed work to my home that I couldn't otherwise have completed.

Loving how this entertainment bar turned out!! I really need to get better at doing before pictures 🤦‍♂️. This used to be a blank wall with an opening to the old well room. Closed off most of the opening except for the area behind the beverage cooler, and installed the cabinets, countertop, tile backsplash, and lighted shelves. The best compliment is when we were done and the client said “When you get some time in your calendar I’d like you to come back for another project.”

A big part of our business is helping Realtors and their clients with home improvements at any time in the buying or selling process. And this one was a perfect example of that.

To get this home ready to list we did some siding and exterior improvements, finish carpentry, flooring, pre list cleaning, and junk removal. All completed before the requested completion date.

15025 Chicago Ave, Burnsville, MN 55306 is for sale. View 44 photos of this 5 bed, 3.5 bath, 3214 sqft. single family home with a list price of $475000.

Before and after of some steps where the small pavers were coming loose and almost breaking ankles and we replaced with 16”x16” squares.

The client when we were done said “Those aren’t moving!”

Here’s a benefit of having firefighters working with us. Paul was installing some bifold doors on a project today, with the homeowners gone, and heard the smoke alarm we installed last week start going off.

Saw smoke coming from the bathroom and saw the bath fan was on fire. Due to his quick action he saved this house from a major catastrophe. The only damage was the bath fan and some minor damage to the toilet seat due to melting plastic.

Even though the fire was out we had Burnsville fire out to make sure the fire didn’t extend to the attic space.

We’re grateful to have people like Paul working with us.

Here’s another one from last month. Client was getting water intrusion into the basement under the door and the steps were falling apart. Tuckpointed and rebuilt the landing, risers, and treads. And then bent some flashing for the door sill and sealed everything.

A before and after from some paver steps last month. The original steps were a major fall hazard since the small pavers would come loose when you stepped on the edge. Fixed it by installing 50lb patio pavers for the treads, looks great and is not a major fall hazard now.

On this weeks episode of why it’s important to make sure the exterior of your home is sealed:

Customer called asking if we could seal up a gap between the siding and trim where wasps were getting in. Put the camera in to find a foot and a half tall wasp nest in the soffit of their porch.

After pulling down some soffit we got the nest removed and all of the gaps sealed up.

The gap was left by the siding installer and left the perfect opening for the wasps to build their nest.

What is the most important part of your home to maintain? Well it’s all important but your exterior should be really high on your list. Because moisture and pests will get in and can destroy the structure of your home.

We’ve spent the better part of the last two weeks replacing trim in a neighborhood that was “fixed” by an unknown person. They used putty but failed to remove any of the already rotten material covering up the problem instead of resolving it properly. Here’s a few tips we’ve given to the homeowners this week:

1. If you’re going to use putty (which I do not recommend) you have to clean out all of the rotten/ compromised wood first.

2. Ask questions like “Is the fix bringing it back to original condition?” or “by doing the repair this way, will the problem come back?” And my favorite “What kind of warranty do you provide?”

3. If you’re going to hire someone make sure they have an active contractor license. That way you know they’re insured, they have to provide a warranty by statute, and have passed a knowledge test on the MN building code.

The photos are some of the damage, these were caused by woodpeckers going after the ants in the rotten wood that was patched with putty.

Tree or limbs down from a recent storm? Call us to have them safely removed. If you talk to Ursula Ring make sure to ask her about her opossum wrangling skills from removing this tree damaged shed. 🤪
