A year ago, Rick and his family traveled to Croatia, visiting the historic towns of Zadar and Dubrovnik. The trip ended up confirming the direction of two new colors Casa Di Sassi already had in development.

Dubrovnik came into focus while walking through the old city, where warm light limestone defines much of the architecture. Subtle yellow hues, sun-aged spots, and years of natural character gave the stone a warmth that stood out without relying on a lot of color.

That became the inspiration behind Dubrovnik, one half of the new Adriatic Pair.

A little perspective brings the story into focus.

Along Croatia’s Adriatic coastline sit Zadar and Dubrovnik, two places where centuries of stone architecture helped inspire Casa Di Sassi’s newest warm white colorways.

Seeing them on the map adds another layer to the story behind the Adriatic Pair. Each was inspired by a distinct sense of place, yet both share the timeless texture, subtle variance, and warm tones that make this coastline so memorable.

Two destinations. Two inspirations. One Adriatic Pair.

Some places leave you with more than memories.

In Dubrovnik, it was the warmth of the city at sunset, the quiet character of its stone, and the way centuries of history seemed to live within every surface.

Those details stayed with us. Eventually, they became a color that feels calm, earthy, cozy, and understated.

Dubrovnik is a piece of the Adriatic story, brought home in stone.

Two cities along one coastline, each with a character of its own.

Zadar is shaped by movement, where water and stone exist in constant rhythm. Dubrovnik carries a different presence, defined by sun-washed walls, centuries of history, and enduring texture.

Together, they tell two sides of the Adriatic story.

Zadar and Dubrovnik. Distinct in character. Connected by the coast.

Dubrovnik carries centuries of character in every surface.

Sun-bleached stone, historic walls, and warm neutral tones create an aesthetic that feels established rather than designed. That sense of permanence became the inspiration for Dubrovnik, a color rooted in history, texture, and place.

Up close, the character speaks for itself.

Zadar brings together warm white and ivory hues with organic texture and natural variance. Each stone adds its own dimensional character, creating a look that feels curated rather than uniform.

Quietly refined. Naturally timeless.

Zadar is more than a new color. It is a feeling carried home from the Adriatic.

Cool tones from the water meet the warmth of sun-washed stone, creating a sense of balance that feels serene, natural, and timeless. It is an aesthetic inspired by a place where the landscape speaks for itself.

It started as a family trip along the Adriatic.

Then came the moments that stayed with us. The movement of the sea, the sun across centuries-old stone, the natural texture and warm hues woven into the coastline.

Those memories became more than photographs. They became inspiration for Zadar.

A family trip, translated into stone.
